i think something like this as a focal point to the trip is an excellent idea. we need an activity outside of "LETS GO SEE OECH OTHER LAHAHAH" cos it won't work right that way, and we won't get as many people. so yeah, i think for example mars volta as a focal for the meet is a great idea. i've seen this band several times and they are a great live show. it will also provide focus to the trip.

so yeah around sept 17th meet is great for me, i'll definitely have the money, unless anyone has better stuff which is entirely possible.

This sounds pretty nifty. I don't really know who Mars Volta is (besides quick Wiki search or something) but NYC isn't too far from Philadelphia by train. Dunno if I could come, though, since classes start September 3rd and I might be sort of focused on that.
