I've been following this for a while but now that there is more info out, I figured I'd make a topic.
Kirby Super Star on the SNES (Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe in Japan) is one of the few minigame compilations that can be called "beloved." In a move that is only shocking in regards to how long it took, Nintendo has announced a sequel, called Hoshi no Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe.
The few screenshots we have reveal the return of the "Gourmet Race" event from the previous game (race against King Dedede in both speed and amount of food eaten), the "Spring Breeze" adventure mode, and what looks like a "Great Cave Offensive" style treasure-collecting game. In addition, a wireless connection icon is visible, meaning that wireless multiplayer (though not necessarily Wi-Fi) will be enabled.
Marked red, has since been changed to a remake, they are bringing back all of the old games from Superstar SNES and adding a few things on top...
SO THEN...I am a huge Kirby fan and there has been nothing I've craved more (aside from that damn Gamecube release of the Kirby 3D Platformer that never saw the light of day, but here's hoping for the Wii release, it's APPARENTLY in development...), than a sequel to Kirby Superstar.
While this isn't a direct sequel, one of the things to date that has pissed me off with the DS (and PSP) is that the homebrew scene couldn't emulate the original Kirby Superstar, the way I see it, this remake at least an answer to my first prayer of being able to to play the game on the go, but having new material on top of that just makes it that little bit better...

We can relive our favourite realtime RPG moments!

Gourmet Race whahay!
Here's hoping there will be a mode where you can race 2-player over Wifi or post your times on an online scoreboard...

Some new stuff too, looks like a point blank knockoff...
I dunno what the right screen is supposed to be of though...
Along with that, Megaton Punch, The Revenge of Metaknight, The Great Cave Offensive, Dynablade and so on will be coming back with fresh DS-ready graphics, from what I see currently they look very similar to the original graphics which is a good thing, I think one of their biggest costs or mistakes of development would have been to remake ALL of the sprite graphics...

Green Greens is looking a lot nicer than before and Dynablade has been given a nice new look...
So then, I'm personally
very excited and anticipating the release of this game, how about the rest of you?
HAL Labs have done very well with their Kirby Titles overall however they have been very lacking in the DS department (with Canvas Curse being the exception), here's hoping this is THE Kirby Game for the DS...
Any ideas on what else they are likely to add?
