I think the infomercial guy in the Fallout trailer is a pornstar but I'm not certain.

Being a die hard fan of the series, that trailer really broke my heart   :fogetnah:

What I would hope is that all we've seen are the action shots. E.g. it would be pretty cool if you could toggle between the characters in your party and position them like you could in past fallouts.

If it really does turn out to just be a remake of Oblivion with guns instead of swords they can fuck right off.

I like it. They're trying to take it in a new direction, and it should be pretty good.

I mean...

Yeah screw them for trying to change stuff up, all series should remain the exact same forever fuck da change FUCK DA BETHESDA.

oblivion wasn't a new and interesting direction for the elder scrolls series, i don't see how bringing FO down to its level makes it better

i love the part in the G4 demo where they launch a teddy bear at some checks chest at about 10 mph hour and her left arm and leg(and i think head?) all fly off her body

Why couldn't they just make their own shitty franchise!? ARGH!!!!

First EA DEVOUR Westwood Studios, turning them into a pile of steaming shit.

Now fucking FALLOUT has been eaten by another corporate machine. Fucks sake. Raaaaage.

Whatever next.

it's basically the same thing they did with shadowrun, only this is not as worse. instead of <company A> making a game called GUNBRAST they will just buy a random game license and say they are making a legit sequel. this way they get the millions of fans already interested in the title, many of which are guarenteed to buy it regardless of how good or bad it is simply because it's a sequel to some old game series. so you'll get a lot more sales making what is essentially the same game by associating it with a license.

money basically.

I'd say the 360 is seriously hitting its stride now - as consoles generally do into their 3rd and 4th years. It has a very well balanced library now... lots of RPGs, action games, platformers, and yes, FPSes. While its first couple of years were pretty dry for variety (deservedly taking heat for being the "FPSBox"), it seems now that there's a really cool lineup for the rest of 2008 and into 2009! I'm excited about stuff like Force Unleashed, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Halo Wars, FF13, and to a lesser extent, Infinite Undiscovery (what a fucking awful name), Banjo Kazooie, and Too Human. Plus there is all that buzz about Mass Effect 2 and 3 as well as Bioshock 2 and 3.

The avatars thing is a pretty straight up lift from Nintendo's Miis but that's not a new concept - I'll admit it, as much as I detest the popular theory among fanboys that Nintendo is the only innovator in the industry. It's pretty common at this point to see them do something first and the rest follow.

I like the new dashboard design too but I didnt have a problem with the old one.

Also I played the Too Human demo off XBL and I was pretty MIXED. On one hand, I'd love a coop hack and slash to play on consoles, and it seems to borrow a few of the better ideas from Devil May Cry. However, there's a lot that turned me off. The game feels clunky - animation is JANKY, the setting and premise are borderline ridiculous, and the dialogue is awkward. The interface is sort of ugly I think, and I noticed some bad slowdown in the menus that made them feel a hell of a lot less fluid than they should. I know it's like a month to release, but I don't know how much of the technical problems they could possibly iron out. I didn't like the camera angles sometimes too. Considering the notoriety of the game and its development history, I didn't know what to expect.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Too Human was originally in development for the PlayStation as a 4-disc action-adventure game. It was shown at E3 1999,[4] but shortly before its completion Nintendo announced an exclusive partnership with Silicon Knights, and the game was moved to the Nintendo GameCube in 2000. A teaser trailer was shown at SpaceWorld 2000 showing what appeared to be a re-building of the PlayStation game. The game never surfaced though, and the partnership between the two companies was ended. After this, the title was still thought to be in development for the GameCube, but those plans have since been canceled.

In the May 2005 issue of EGM, Silicon Knights announced a partnership with publisher Microsoft to develop a trilogy revolving around the Too Human universe exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game was originally being developed using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3, but is now being developed using an internal engine. On July 19, 2007, it was announced that Silicon Knights was suing Epic Games due to "breach of contract", including "inadequacies" of Epic’s support, service, and cooperation with Silicon Knights concerning Unreal Engine 3.[5][6] On August 9, 2007, Epic Games countersued Silicon Knights, claiming that they were using their engine as they pleased without any cost. If Epic wins the case, Silicon Knights would be forced to pay in excess of $650,000.

As long as I look at fallout 3 as not a true sequel I think I can put up with the game and it looks like it plays well but  If I look at this as a true fallout sequel it would be just a skied mark.  I’m sure it will loses it’s witty comments and jokes  just by the looks of that bad opening commercial. Witch I think it was trying to be funny but fell short of being any thing near funny.

Dismemberment has been apart of fallout witch is nice too see but I need more gore I wounder if they have the bloody mess Trait. :fogetcry:

jesus christ you guys its kind of obvious they werent going to show INCREDIBLY DEVELOPED DIALOGUE TREES IN A  TRAILER. The trailer is to hook as many people as possible in a short little video. wait till it comes out and you play it before you condemn it.

So are there any details about that portal expansion like release date or was it just an announcement? I could find this out myself but E3 journalism and writeups and shit are so horrible :-)

Did you guys see the gameplay footage of Fallout 3? Yes it does have Bloody Mess Perk and loads of others available. You can stop time and target body parts of the enemy and each body part has a percentage chance next to it to hit. Heh, it also apparently has 100 hours of gameplay. I don't know if thats good or bad.

The Fable 2 Demo looked kinda crap though. "Here we have a young boy, and he grows up just like in the last game. Oh but I want to get to an important feature. *Fade to grow-up main character with a dog*. Ope, here's your dog, he's cool, he can fetch balls. Ok now heres the the important stuff. Co-Op. Look, I'm running in my world with someone else, but that's nothing. Lets go see my in-game wife. *Second player poses infront of wife* *+20 Funny added to wife and child*." Its like they added basic the Sims features or something. BTW, the time period changed in the game, and it looks pretty much like ye olde england. The characters both had swords on there backs and ye olde looking guns. They better have some fucking magic or something.
