Lol stumbled upon a "Wilford Brimley Diabeetus Rap" and I actually like it a lot. Despite being based around a joke/meme its pretty tasteful too.

Mono-silicone

Its Jazz inspired trip-hop and this is the first time I've heard this band. It really reminds me of massive attack. This song is awesome

I just found this guy too. M. Ward, he does some soul/country/blues style stuff. Man he's a really good storyteller and singer.

I.F. - Kisy Loa

This is a remarkably repetitive song, but I've probably listened to this as much over the past year as I've listened to anything. I often lie down with some music and try to dig for thoughts in the deeper reaches of my brain, and whenever this song comes on while I'm doing this I almost instantly fall asleep. Not saying this as a knock on the song either, as I always have wacky dreams while doing this.

I love this fucking song and don't really know why. It's one of those songs that I can get caught in my brain completely out of the blue, even if I haven't heard it for a few weeks. Does anybody else get that? My brain starts playing parts of songs on a level I am barely aware of, right on the brink of where you start humming but never quote crossing over into something that conscious.

I dunno. I don't know if I even like this song all that much but my brain reacts to it, if that makes any sense.

And now saltw can have it. I hope it gets stuck in your fucking brain too!!!

PS THIS SON OF A BITCH BAND IS CALLED IF. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIND MUSIC FROM A GROUP NAMED IF.

PPS

I'm not sure I really like it, but I find it intriguing that the original version of "Hello, It's Me" was recorded by Todd Rundgren's band in an arragement and style completely different from the more famous solo act version.

Uh... I'm not sure what to think of this Lou Reed and Metallica collab. At first I was like "This sounds weird enough to be awesome," then for the first 20 seconds I thought it was terrible, and then it started to sort of grow on me. It reminds me of Henry Rollin's spoken word stuff more than Metallica or The Velvet Underground (minus the part where Hetfield sings.)

For me this will always be the theme from "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence".... I only found out recently that Hubbard borrowed the theme from this one. So many C64 tunes are just variations of movie themes etc but it is awesome music
