I think what I like best about that song is it has like the exact same breakbeat distorted drum sound (not amen break I think) that was in every Harry Gregson-Williams track in the Metal Gear Solid games but probably lots of other stuff he's done too and he probably thinks it's really badass and pats himself on the back for it but it's like that if he had balls

p sure I already got that and all their other stuff. I mean other bands because I really like this kind of stuff and I already got "Iron&Wine, Sufjan, Elliott, Mountain Goats, GreatLakeSwimmers, Nick Drake, Phil Ochs, Jackson C. Frank, Calexico and sun kil moon " but theres got to be more cool stuff like this this out there that I'm missing.

I don't like sun kil moon that much btw that dudes vocals are pretty dull and monotone imo

how do I take a ss of my mountain goats folder because I have almost all of those.

Only a handful them are really good shit though. Some of his stuff is just lacking a solid melody or the lyrics are kind of boring. Not saying they aren't good but some of it isn't near quality of heretic pride and Tallahassee and a few of the other ones.

I listen to my music on random and I'm pretty sure I've heard most of the mountain goats and all of elliott. I don't like listening to stuff straight though anymore it gets boring.

I got 42 mountain goat albums and all the ones you dropped

ummm try arthur russell maybe. john martyn died recently but he wrote a nick drake tribute album. idk you aint giving me much but WHITE GUYS WITH GUITARS AND WORDS so I can list a few dozen dudes but I'm trying to think of those specific to the ones you listed. did you ever get into frusciante while that topic was going around? also obviously red house painters but you said you don't like kozelek so who knows.

I'm more than a little taken aback that you got the entire mountain goats discog. I don't have it all, there's so fucking much of it.

its just alot of it is low quality or that he just read a book got a guitar and started stream of conscious jamming or something. I'll check those out and I already got frusciante

Also Iron and Wine sounds really samey imo, like you can barely tell the difference between stuff. Its good but I can't listen to it alot. I have his whole discography and its pretty big.

for real though that is 42 fucking albums man, you had to know a lot of it would be dross or lives or demos why would you get all those. WHY. the only discography I ever downloaded that was over ten albums was a tupac one and that was full of a lot of garbage. what on earth possessed you to do this?
