New trailer released(Also in the first post) and it doesn't look too bad. I hope it is at least a decent enough film to not disgrace the first two films. Guess we'll wait and see.

McG is dumb as fuck, his movies are those shitty Charlies Angels flicks and a generic "heartwarming" football movie. The only hope here is that enough acting talent and CGI can cover up his inadequacies as a film maker. I mean he calls himself McG, thats even worse than CliffyB, and CliffyB is a dumb fucking idea.

Looks remotely better than T3 but I have no idea who this McG is (other than that he did Charlies Angels *bleh*) so it's hard to say if it will live up to expectations with an unknown director.

EDIT: I'll agree on that the huge Terminator is pretty silly and I expected the future to look more like in T2 (black and blue-ish), not this middle eastern place. How come so many films that take place in the future ends up getting covered in sand?

I have to see this, as I am a fan of the old Terminator movies. I even liked the T3 movie a lot. This mpvoe I have to see in the theaters because this one will be awesome.

haha I kind of see why Michael Bay thought they were ripping off transformers with that huge robot. But yeah, whatever it makes sense for them to have a daddy machine I guess

This film is so dumb.
McG isn't even a generic action director... he's worse than a generic action director. He's like down there probobly below even Bay on the heirachy of directors(tm)

T3 was embarassingly cheesy so expect this one to be full on cinematic stilton.

I always associated Michael Bay as the quintessential generic action movie director, the guy who is utterly incapable of rising above COMPLETELY AVERAGE AND MEDIOCRE summer blockbusters with huge budgets. And McG is probably worse than this, yes, Charlies Angels was WORSE than a michael bay movie. So I am agreeing with Kaworu is my point.

Am I the only one who actually kind of liked that trailer? No shit, McG sucks total ass. I just... Jonathan Nolan's rewrite... I loved how ridiculous it was when the robot dude was all chained up, Bale takes off his chain, he looks down and stars yelling.......................... I really loved that shit.

Why do I always like shitty trailers???????

I liked the trailer as well Psyburn so your not alone. I have faith in Jonothan Nolans script and Christian Bales influence on this but McG still has yet to prove anything other then mediocrity to us as a film maker. Lets just hope it turns out some what decent.

I'm more interested in Public Enemies for this years line up & James Camerons Avatar.

McG hasn't proved he's capable of even doing mediocre.

I hope this is good... but I mean... the TV series "Sarah Connor Chronicles" is all about stopping the war. T3 shows that it still happens regardless... but the TV show changes history, so the T2's vision of the future would be much changed already. We'll see. I'd still prefer the giant piles of rubble and metal shit everwhere. It just amplifies the futility of the human situation.

Still McG... I'll join the bandwagon on hating on that point; because he sucks donkey dongs.

I thought T3 was canon since the war does happen and John is married to the chick from that film.

Quote
Josh Friedman, producer of the 2008 Fox television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which takes place after Terminator 2: Judgment Day, stated in an interview that the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines occur in an alternate timeline from that of the TV series.

Uh, just because the TV series takes place in an alternate timeline doesn't make T3 non-canon, does it?

In my opinion, the TV series is the non-canon because they managed to screw things up way more than T3 ever did.
