Ok, well, I'm thinking of hooking my 360 online but don't really know what would be an ideal router to go with. At first I was considering one of Buffalo's models (since the USB one I use for my Wii/DS is made by them and that thing rocks) but with Buffalo in some court case at the moment and all their wireless stuff pulled I can't exacly go that route, not to mention I really don't want to have to resort to also picking up that $100 adapter for the 360 by going wireless with it. So, with that said, any suggestions on routers that might be a good way to go?

any d-link or linksys router imo

they'll do the job just fine

especially if you want a wire-only router (note: wireless ones also do wired so if you want to have a long use for it maybe get a wireless one so someday you can use it wireless)

but yeah a wired-only router would cost what

50$ max?

go to garage sales. I got a D-Link DI-624v for 4 dollars.

If you have a laptop that you use to connect to a wireless connection, you can share the connection from it instead of buying the ridiculously priced adapter. That's what I do.

But yeah, a D-Link or Linksys will do just fine.

That was because of my router, not my laptop. And that was because some tech guy who came to our house plugged in the wrong power cord that was the wrong voltage and it shorted it out. (this is the same ISP who always says "it's because your router is dead" I'm starting to wonder if they really are all dead and it's because of this guy)

The internet sharing works just fine it's just the router dropped the connection to my laptop, which did the same thing to the 360. It did it to my laptop regardless of the internet sharing.

Unfortunately, no laptop so I gotta go the router route. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, I'll check out what is compatible with the 360 and go out and track something down.
