A lot to be said, it seems.
Yeah, so as far as I know the Trophy system is mostly for show and tell. In Playstation Home you'll be able to go to / bring people to your Trophy room that has a showcase of all your little Trophies. It's just a little entertaining bragging rights feature, much like your personalised house. Also, they made it so that your PS3 Username / PSN account /whatever you want to label it as, levels up. You get levels by unlocking X amount of trophies (I'm level 2. :P)
Some of the Trophies are hard, some are moderate, but I have yet to find any that are blatantly easy. With Pixel Junk Eden (a game that initially frustrated the frack out of me, and is now damn addictive and simple) has ones for unlocking all the Seeds in a level (longstoryshort), or seemingly impossible things like unlocking all Seeds with 0 pollen wasted. How the HELL.
In Super Stardust HD, they're a lot of moderate and a lot of nigh impossible ones. First you have your level completion trophies, then you have you bomb hoarding trophies, and then you have your... Survive 45 seconds without firing a gun, as hundreds of asteroids and enemies swarm around you in a sesspool of hell.
Then we have Drake's Fortune. I only glanced through the list really, but it seems that you could easily obtain all of them with a little extra work and a good walkthrough (finding all the treasures etc)
As to the bit you guys are talking about with the 40 gig, it makes me a sad panda. Man, you saved 100 bucks, but you lost... so much. Besides the PS2 emulator / built-in, you lost 2 USB ports, and I believe (correct me if wrong) all of your memory stick and excessory ports. It's 100 bucks less for a stripped down hunk of small memory.
Ah well.
Lastly, DDay, are you beating me now? How many Trophies did you unlock through Drake's Fortune???
ps: do you have your PC back
Not yet.
