Out of this World (or Another World)

I guess it doesn't really have levels but you could do a speed run from one checkpoint to another.

Like how about from the time you are in the cage to when you have to roll around in the air ducts?

Megaman 2 imo since its a great game and the recording process is rather painless and the recordings are like 1kb in size.

The levels of Mega Man 2 should be about 1.5 - 2 minutes on average, it's not that bad.

Yeah exactly!  It makes getting a good speedrun take even longer.  When we did that one mario level last year or whatever it took FOREVER, and that was like 30 or 40 seconds long.

I am saying do a level from Blue's Journey / Raguy because 1) it is obscure and 2) it is GW related!

I vote for the genesis version of contra, that game had some pretty dastardly levels.

The boss is actually much harder than the player made it seem. You have to hit 4 of the same color globes without getting killed. Mind you:

- Hitting a globe of another color resets it.
- Waiting in place for longer than say.... a second will prompt an attack that kills you in 2 hits if you are at full health.
- While you're swimming up and down trying to time your attack right, your air will run out and you will drown.

Getting to the level requires password input that the video shows (under the title "Dark Water") and it's a sega genisis/ megadrive game.

Ecco has some other nasty levels without bosses.... I just thought this would be the most frustrating.

First level of Kid Icarus? That's a fun game, and it's pretty simple but challenging. I'm sure not too many people have tried speed running this game, either, so...

Man, if we want to do something a bit more obscure which no one has tried to speedrun yet, maybe Plop for SNES. I don't actually remember anything about it though, it's been years since I played it but I remember it was a pretty kickass game.......

Not sure if it's that fitting for speedrunning since I don't remember much about it.

Also no Mega Man 2 since Dada will rape everyone eyes closed.
