Brilliant topic.

Anyway, I haven't yet listened to it and I've never been much of a fan. I am however going to
see them at a concert in a few months. They're playing with Children of Bodom and I'm interested
in how they sound these days. I'm probably going to listen to it soon.

I think the video is pretty cliche and even the song, very cliche nu metal guitar riff.

Their guitarist is pretty rippin, though. His runs are really clean. I wonder how much of it is studio magic.

I hate their beady eyed albino of a singer though, they do have a little bit of talent but they threw it all away pandering to dipshit high schoolers. Not to mention the mother fucker did it twice with stone sour which is twice as bad...

the masks are gay too, I understand the whole mystique appeal and stuff and its even a really interesting idea but they just ruined it.

Yeah I think the real unfortunate thing about the band is that despite having some rather talented members, they still end up sounding like this.

I don't want to sound like an obvious non-comformist or anything, but Psychosocial really sounds like "corporate metal". It's all emo sounding and such (seriously what is with the chorus?); probably a step backwards from Slipknot's previous stuff (if that was possible).

And I think that star means peace and unity or some shit, kind of ironic for a NU METAL band to use that

hey unfair this topic was locked before i got to say this:

ive seen slipknot live twice, and the first time i saw them live was one of the most energetic concerts ive ever been to. it was awesome. i pretty much got my ass kicked, crowdsurfed all over the place and got my t-shirt completely ripped open. it was ROCK'N ROLL CRAZY CONCERT SHIT like the old people always talk about.

but their music is pretty meh
