Why a second topic?
I was getting very frustrated trying to go through Mateui's neglected, mammoth topic so we are starting fresh with what I stole from the eight pages (trimmed down to three after THREE AND A HALF HOURS). So have at it! I changed a few rules and guidelines to make things easier for the mods just in case this topic goes a long time without any updates like the previous.

What this topic is for

How this topic will work
If you have your own project site link, feel free to post it, and one of the moderators will add it to this post for you under the "Project Site List". After your site has been added, your post will be deleted to keep this topic neat and tidy, and to help us to quickly identify what other information posted still needs to be edited into the main post.

If you have a request for a rare game, post it in this topic. When someone posts a download link to the game that you have requested, the link will be copied to this post under the "Rare Games List", and both your post and the post of the person providing the link will be deleted. (The person who provided the link will be credited so that you may be able to thank them in case their post was deleted before you got the chance to see it). Instead of thanking the provider here however, thank them via PM because all irrevelant posts will be deleted here, and thus they may not see that you appreciated their effort.

When requesting games, please bold them so that people can quickly know what you're looking for. Also please do not have off-topic discussions in this topic, as it makes it harder for the mods to maintain the topic.

Before requesting a game, use Ctrl+F (Find) to browse the lists in this post for specific games. If the game you are looking for is not listed, try the hosted sites. If they do not have the game you are looking for, request it. If it is listed, you may request it again BUT post as a reminder like this:
"I noticed that the game Bob Barley's Big BBQ Bash is on the Missing Rare Games List. Does anyone have this?"
Please mention that it is already on the list to prevent it from being added multiple times.

What if no one can find the game I'm looking for?
If a request has been unfulfilled for over 2 weeks, and no one has been able to find the game in question, the request will be copied to this post under the section "Missing Rare Games" where it will stay until someone provides the link in the future. If you see a game on this list that you have a download of, please provide it so that the game could be taken out of the list, and placed into the regular "Rare Games" download list.

What if a download link on the list goes down?
If at any time you try to download one of the games in the list here and find that the download is down, please post telling us about it. The list will be updated stating in red that the link is down. It will stay that way until someone provides a working download.

How will I know that my request has been fulfilled?
Besides checking this topic regularly, and seeing if your request is located where it should be based on alphabetical order, newly added rare games will be highlighted in green so you can always quickly find out what's been added to the list recently. These green listed games will eventually lose their green colour based on the number of requests being fulfilled, the time passed since they've been added, and the moderators' discretions.

Anything else I should know about?
This is not a topic for advertising purposes. Do not provide links to your games unless someone has requested them.
Also please report any dead links via private message to a Game & Demo moderator.

What are some good free file hosting services?

The above are all viable options. Note however that they all delete files due to inactivity. Thus, files hosted on these sites are prone to become unavailable.
PM Dan/UPRC for additional download mirrors of games currently on Rapidshare, Sendspace, etc.

Links in colour are highly recommended as they host a variety of projects/demos/games that may not be listed here, and therefore are always good places to check out before requesting.

Missing Rare Games List
This list is for requested games which are not automatically found by other members. If nobody can immediately locate a download link for the game, it will be added to this list where it will sit for several weeks.
Games will be removed from the missing games list frequently. To prevent the list from growing too large, the game at the top of the list (the oldest game added, in other words) will be removed.

Hi. Just noticed that the old Jump! Platinum game I uploaded has been deleted for some reson so I re-uoloaded it. Could the old link in the rare games list be replaced with this new one?

Just thought I'd mention that Liquid Motion is back up and running.

Since no one seems to remember the name Gaia's Destiny A New Threat maybe a description of the game itself will refresh some memories for someone.

The game starts out as a description of the evil warlord(forgot his name haha) and how he fucked things up in the past. Anyways it goes onto a scene where a group of soldiers find where he was sealed and resurrect him, after his resurrection he then proceeds to destroy the closest town, which coincidently the hero of the game is at accepting a quest.

I'd say more but hopefully that would help a bit. Remember Gaia's Destiny A New Threat made by Gaia Warrior.

 I requested this like years ago in the old thread, but I'd still like to see if anyone has the fairly unknown RM2K game The Eternal. It was probably pretty terrible but I remember liking it because it used a Guilty Gear song for battle music. It's on the "missing" list so I guess I am seconding the request!
