Ok so, I just got a new laptop yadda yadda, and I decided to get a few games that would be fun to play on a new computer because they wouldnt work on my old one

so I got bioshock, but it won't start with DX10, and I have to run it in DX9 to play it, when I start it in DX10 it just goes to a black screen, locks up and says BIOSHOCK NOT RESPONDING YOU SHOULD CLOSE IT

does anyone know what the problem would be

I looked on google and stuff and they just said to turn some optional tablet thing off, and that didnt work :\

You have the latest video, motherboard, and sound drivers? Is Bioshock updated to its latest version?

I have had this problem, except mine crashes when I get to the Medical Pavilion.

And yes goat, I've done all that. I've done pretty much everything anyone recommends.
