http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=2740958I must've mentioned this a bazillion times in the forums, but I want to be a lawyer. I couldn't deal with criminal law though, y'know, hardcore CSI bullshit -- that sounds stressful. I talked to my Speech/Debate coach, who happens to be a NY state supreme court justice, and he pretty much confirmed my suspicions (I bet he has to oversee really shitty cases). I'd rather work civil court, or maybe go corporate.
In the meantime, I don't know what to do with myself, or even what to major in. I'd like to pursue music composition, drawing, and perhaps a little hardware hacking as a hobby, because I really can't see myself doing any of that professionally (seeing as how I'ma have my ass kicked in AP Physics: Electricity and Magnetism this year). That only leaves me with writing, which I am marginally good at (I'm sure a few here would disagree), but the thing is I don't want to be stuck with another bullshit job liek journalism *ugh* or something along those lines.
If this don't pan out, I'll prolly end up being an interpreter for the deaf. I can sign pretty well already (deaf girlfriend), and they make like $60 bucks an hour, although I wouldn't charge that much because I probably wouldn't think it right (Hello -- mooching offa deaf people? I'm not THAT much of a total WHORE).
Anyways,
S'rite, bitches, Phoenix Smith here, out to own your ass in civil court -- and a fine proponent of the ADA at that.
EDIT: By the way Captain Mew. My dad majored in psychology. D'you knowwhat he does now? He works in a hospital, baking surgical equipment. I tell ya man, stick with the schooling for that shit, otherwise 4 years of college will be horribly wasted. Yeah, my dad wanted to help people too. But he couldn't take not having to say "okay man, here it is plain and simple: you're a fucking dumbass and you need to change." In other words, I don't think he could stand being a bastard parasite slowly sucking away his client's $$$. He actually wanted to help people. Well, just throwing that out there.
