I really want to be a composer or songwriter or whatever. Probably the best job like this I could get would be to write some crappy radio jingles or score a crappy movie but whatever, I love writing music. Also, I figure if I get a steady job as a lounge bassist or something I could get enough cash to live in a crappy appartment and live off ramen.

But if that doesn't work out I'll just have to get a wife that's a lawyer or a doctor or something.

I'm a senior in high school now, but I'm applying to colleges for music in the academic sense, i.e. theory and history. Best case scenario of my life would be to do that, then get a masters and Ph.D (probably in music theory) and be a college professor and teach on the university level. If I get bored of that, I'd like to open a piano and/or voice studio and teach there.

They're both among the saddest I've read. If it wasn't for the money (milking your past works by selling CDs/Prints/Folios on top of whatever it is in the booth you are working)... I don't see how anyone would want to go con chasing. From what I hear it gets very tiring... and you grow to loathe the people who attend them. I am actually dreading the day I am asked to do this myself.

I'm not interested in BIG cons like SDCC and NYCC.  Mainly small press.  It's a smaller, friendlier market with people that actually care about the art and writing as opposed to whether or not Hulk's healing factor is 100% accurate or the 300 different continuities perfectly fit together.

I wanna be a barman.

No really, the idea of owning a bar and kick some drunk ass sounds awesome.

But back to reality, I have no idea in wtf I'll end up. I'm currently studying a BA in Computer Science and Administration, so lets see what happens

I'm set. I've always wanted to be a storyteller. Be in game making, movies, radio or novels. Novels seem to work, so I'll be sticking with that.

Sheet.. I really don't know. I wanna try out applying for Musicians Institute in LA, but
don't have any videos of me playing with people so guess I'd have to start a random
band first..

If not music, I'd like to do something with pictures (not drawing, cause that looks too
hard and tiresome for me).. maybe a photographer. Yeh that would be cool.

I want to do either some form of game design (be it graphic design or programming or story writer?) or be a professional drummer. As someone else said, music's pretty hard to get into, but I think I could work on games for ever.
Upon arriving the attending doctor could find no abnormal physical symptoms other than extremely dilated pupils. After spending several hours terrified that his body had been possessed by a demon, that his next door neighbor was a witch, and that his furniture was threatening him, Dr. Hofmann feared he had become completely insane.

Filmmakers have very little talent. Got ya.

No. I meant that I have almost zero talent in any other area, and that's the only thing that I can see myself doing somewhat successfully.

I mean, it's either that or porn.

Songwriters get paid.

yeah teaching english in foreign countries is pretty sweet. ever since I read 'I am a Japanese Schoolteacher' a while back I've wanted to do just that. It doesnt sound like it pays very well but I think overall as far as experience is concerned it would be quite the cultural enrichment heh. Theres a website not that long ago that I found when I was looking for english teaching jobs in Turkey and Kazakhstan thats pretty good: http://www.teachabroad.com/search.cfm

I want to become a pharmacist. You get to meet a lot of people in the course of your day (if you work in a hospital or retail setting), and actually help them with their medication-related problems and other medical issues. Since pharmacists are the most accessible member of the health care team you get to see a lot of interesting people and situations (for example, a couple of months ago I saw someone with gangrene, and a few weeks ago someone with bursitis of the elbow) and with steady work hours and a great pay that makes the job a lot sweeter. Of course, you do meet mean people occasionally who are apathetic and don't care to talk, but when you get to connect to someone on a personal level and feel that what you did and told them made a difference in their lives that's really gratifying.

Only 2 more years for me to go! (Assuming I don't fail this year :P)

I got about two semesters left until I graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science.  I'm concentrating on programming but there's also a really badass network admin internship that Microsoft is offering for us soon-to-be compy alumni.  I can cover a lot of the networking curriculum with the electives that I get with my programming minor so hey!

I'd just really like to work with computers for the rest of my life.  Technology is pretty awesome and it's goddamn enthralling to watch it evolve in leaps and bounds over short periods of time.

Also, to be honest I'd like to be the guy that mass produces a computer chip that immerses people into a perfect virtual universe and essentially turns 1/3 of the human population into fleshy batteries to power the next TECHNO REVOLUTION.  Fuck yeah there is no spoon!

I'm not going to work in the USA (one of the most messed up health care systems ever!). Health care is pretty great in Canada!
