GW Olympics - Soldat 2v2 Capture the Flag Event[/size]

Similar to the old school Soldat tournaments that have taken place in the past, we will be taking teams of two of any nationality to compete in a knock out tournament to win the three medals on offer.

Registration:

All you need to do is say something along the lines of "I'm in" and tell us whatever country you're going to be representing.

You have until 11:59 PM GMT on the 27th (Sunday) to signup! The randomization will take place on the 28th.

Tournament Rules:

It'll be in a knockout tournament style. Each match will be best out of 3, with SCTFL style rules (each team gets to pick a map, ctf_Laos is the tiebreaker.)

Any of the default soldat maps can be chosen by a team during a match (except laos), to see a full list of them you can type !show ctf in #gwsoldat.

The hub for all of the matches will be the #gwsoldat IRC channel, contact an admin (anyone with % or above) to set up one of the servers for you.

in order to make things a lot more even and easier to organize, the teams are just going to be randomized instead! the randomization will take place the day after the signups close.

I would play but different time zones so that sucks...

what? it's not very difficult to work out a time where four people can set aside 20 minutes!!

nope, the teams are going to be completely random. it'll make it easier for people to sign up and it'll make things a lot less uneven! you just need to register and wait to be paired up with someone when the teams are announced on the 28th.
