for the only word i care for is that of alan moore, the only man i ever looked up to... just a comic book writer? i think not... the man is a genius... his beautiful visions Art

for the record this is dumb as hell. Alan Moore legitimized comic books pretty much single handedly and guess what stupid he actually is pretty much a creative genius, yeah. I can't believe you're arguing for Heroes over Alan Moore. a man who singlehandedly saved a genre from being nothing more than superheroes flicking rocks at each other and who has won almost every prize a graphic novel can win short of the pulitzer (I dont think it can win the pulitzer) and who wrote the only graphic novel to make it on Time's list of the 100 best works of all-time and you're saying HEH FUCK YOU NERDS I WATCH HEROES.

the funny thing is if you weren't so devotedly ignorant about comic books you could have namedropped one of a hundred other authors and maybe your dumb sarcasm wouldn't have looked so horrible but honestly check it out:

how could i appreciate such a shitty tv show :( i gues i should stop using false arguments like one media is inclined for children where television is somehow more mature and read some comic books because this tv show i enjoy watching is pretty much an emulation with no substance! you are right! i am being a child because i do not have respect for any comic books for some pretty invalid reasons. all entertainment that breaks boundaries is probably better than a hollow fascimile of something overdone in another media already.

my enjoyment of an immature TV show betrayed my immature mind. HEROES ugh! I'm gonna stop watching primetime television. maybe I should look into the works of alan moore, a writer many people looked up to. JUST A COMIC BOOK WRITER nah, it's well established the man is a genius and his vision justifies comics more as art than shit. rather accept other substitutes, I can acknowledge perfection in another media that while not there is closer to it than a show like Heroes ever will be. i guess this is something it takes being a non consumerist fuckwit to understand. me? I will try to think for myself. I don't have a job but at least I'll spend my time not defending a shitty tv show on the grounds that it's an innately less childish medium than comics which have been around longer than television.

take away the sarcasm and your shitty post is right :(

how dare i appreciate an entertaining musical group.... i gues i should grow up and listen to some classical music. for this pop punk i enjoy listening to is merely an emulation... with no substance.. you are right. i am a man child because i do not have music appreciation aspergers. for you see, all entertainment must break boundaries.

i see, now, that my enjoyment of a pop punk artist betrays my immature mind... AVRIL LAVIGNE! pah! i spit on your pop engineered cds... for the only work i care for is that of johann sebastian bach, the only man i ever looked up to... just a composer? i think not... the man is a genius... his beautiful musics Art. i will accept no other substitutes... perfection has been achieved already, young man.. i guess this is something you radio sheeple will never understand. me? i think for myself.. i dont have a job yet but im working on it

make your own dom post. replace the asterisks and stay consistent.

He already knew this BTW. He even forgave her for it...
 :welp:
Before Hiro teleported Sylar and Elle away, that dad guy revealed something about how Elle was part of the plot to make and use Sylar as a weapon or some shit.
 :welp:

I think the fact that he lost his powers made him realize that "he's just human" and connected more with Elle since she was in the same boat as he was. But then he got them back and maybe Noah rehashing that Elle made him the way he was coupled with his refound powers triggered his "uncontrollable killing urge" again. He did seem to have urge again when he killed her.

just fyi my post was not a slight against alan moore, i am well aware that alan moore was a talented guy. i have no problem with alan moore.

my post is a slight against people who think i am somehow less of a person for liking heroes just because its not hugely influential and groundbreaking. also people of the opinion that because heroes is derivative, that EVERYTHING about it is terrible. maybe i enjoy watching hiro's hijinks???? i like seeing how theyre going to save the world?? it entertains me!! im sorry!!!! I FIND IT A LITTLE INTERESTING KILL ME NOW I HAVE THE TASTE OF A FIRST GRADER

nah you are a manchild because you find this kind of immature shit entertaining apparently
dom you seem a lil....peeved.  no but really liking childish, unsophisticated things means you have childish taste.  sorry brah.  95% of comics are really childish sophomoric too but  at least if you read comics there would be the slim chance that you would read the few ones that aren't really childish at all and not just SAPVE WOLRD (WITH BAD ACTING??)... but with heroes that is not an option because everything about it is stupid, derivative, and shallow.  it is a show targeted towards a specific audience, and if i were you i wouldn't be so proud of myself for fitting into this demographic.  go watch some farscape or something, guy
hmm... so if u read comics... most will not be great some of them might actually be really good??? wait wait let me see here

i watch tv... that means some will not be great and some will be really good!!! holy shit... its my exact tv taste. for i do not watch only heroes. i watch other tv shows too. well done for making an argument which makes no sense

actually i meant if you were to say WHELP I READ COMICS i would at least be able to think "well maybe he only reads the good ones" whereas with television and specifically just saying I WATCH HEROES INSTEAD HEH this is not an option because a) i know you watch mostly braindead shit because you are apparently a............braindead shit lol and b) there is no part of heroes that is based around THE GOOD ONES; it is all bad.  but gj on the misinterpretation

I think what he is trying to say is you cant simply judge a person according to a tv program they may or may not watch. True there can be stereotypes but you cant define a person because of something as little as this.

I watch Heroes because im curious to see where they will go with some of the characters such as Peter and Hiro but dont consider myself 'child minded' or whatever it was you described people who watch the show as.

dude gambit was the best, i used to play as him all the time in Marvel vs Capcom on my friend's dreamcast.

also yea i watch heroes to but i also realize it is utter shit. i'm not going to defend it or my tastes because most of you think im a pretty horrible guy, and also its not really something you can even defend. like sometimes i have MCDONALDS CRAVINGS and even though its probably the worst food on earth i still like it. its..... its the hunger........

admittedly though this show has gotten so bad in the last episode it was almost unbearable.

 :welp:

He connected with Elle when she was shocking the hell out of him for killing her father. "He changed," right, and got over his hunger. Then Elle decided to make him kill the car rental guy. Then he decided to kill Elle and she decided to let him even though she's like, the only character who ever used her powers to physically repel his attacks earlier. And Papa Petrelli has Sylar's hunger by way of absorbing Peter's powers, but I think the show forgot about that.
This show. This fucking show.

Pretty funny considering the people using this argument who are pro-Heroes are judging me for watching Survivor.

I can admit when shows get bad. There have been awful seasons of Survivor. It's not always great. But at least there is no script there. I can blame the idiotic players... with Heroes I can directly blame the writers who have no idea what they are doing anymore. They've lost what made this show great - ordinary people living with extraordinary powers.. trying to adjust to their lives - not just going "cool. i has powers. lets fight bad guys!!1!!". The show was once more than the typical cliché superhero fest... it had character drama. Now it's just derivative. That's why the comic book analogies have started coming out. The show has devolved into that and it shows.

You may have misunderstood but I wasn’t arguing the show is good just merely explaining that deciding upon someone’s persona judged solely by the tv show they watch is not right. I don’t have anything against anyone who watches Survivor although I personally don’t watch it myself as I have no interest in reality tv.

No, what the show once had was a sense of wonder and mystery. Like something really amazing is happening, and something really important is about to happen. The best moments of the show were when that artist drew the future, when people figured out for the first time that they could do amazing shit, and it's like a whole new world opened to them, when all you had really seen of Sylar was his victims and his silhouette. One of my favourite scenes was when, uh... 'regenerating teenage girl who can't act to save her life (or those dolphins)', is being chased by Sylar, because Sylar is still a symbol of pure evil, and you know an important character is going to die but not who or how, since they built up to that one for some episodes; that was some real adrenaline right there.

After season 1 they lost all that, and now it's just people who can shoot lightning bolts at each other playing cops and bad guys. I could forgive some of the shitty acting before because the premise and atmosphere was amazing, not so much now that the show has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
