Well, Pharmacy isn't too bad, considering... you're what, 18 now? 18 + 4 years undergrad you're 22. 22 + 4 years pharmacy, you're 26. At 26, you'll be making $50,000 for residency, just like any other job coming outta undergrad. After 3 years of that, you're 29, and you'll be making $100,000+ the rest of your life, going into the $200,000 or $300,000 area after a few years.

It initially sucks... but assuming you'll live to 70 or 80, and be set by 29, pretty good deal. Most people wanna start making money fast, and in the long run, make a decent living... but that's it, decent.

If you wanna be a pharmacist, try and love chemistry, and organic chemistry. You'll have to do the pre-pharm. classes like Bio 1 and 2, Physics 1 and 2, Gen. Chem. 1 and 2, and Organic Chem 1 and 2. As well as BioChem and Physical Chemistry.

Nemesis, actually according to the pharmacy school I plan on attending; I can go 2 years and get prequisites and go 4 years into pharmacy school. Aren't you becoming a doctor or something? Have you ever tried engineering? I know your bro is a prospective engineer, right?

man too many people have read harry potter to the extent that you might be a nerd if you dont know what hogwarts is.

this is how our lives rotate......but books are for nerds? must ponder this.

reading harry potter is like reading tom clancy. Besides, 10,000,000 people play world of warcraft am I the nerd for not joining them????

Hey, more power to you. Yeah, I'm trying to get into med. school. I've done the pre-reqs, and and in my senior year taking mostly electives now. I have 2 more bio. classes to take to finish up my biology major. Doing kaplan stuff studying for MCAT, mad scary.

My brother is doing biomedical engineering, and he's going to graduate school after undergrad.

I don't know too much about a career in videogames and programming, seems like a real blast though. Love what you do, I just have a feeling "making it" in the game-making industry is difficult. These preconceptions could be purely false, I just don't know many people in the gaming industry, fairly new job market. I'm taking a "Health Survey" class, pretty good overview of like 16 health related professions. Also, there are career counselors on campus, try looking around that stuff. Or take a career-directed survey questionaire.

Marmot, and I guess Steel can answer this as well.

Why did you guys drop engineering?

awful at math and science, so i said fuck it i love yelling at dudes, i can make a career in law. you can do that under almost every degree, despite colleges claiming prelaw programs are SO GOOD. however i also liked studying crime shit and my other really good subject was fuckin ENGLISH which my indian mom would have started weeping over, so.

there's also a GREATER QUESTION of doing something with your life and I knew I'd never be good enough at engineering to be more than a Dilbert. whatever crits i got for mateui at least he's giving old dudes medicine to help them fight the pain of arthritis or whatever. better to be a drone who does good with his slightly boring work than just I BUILDR CELLPHONE IT HAVE FIVE GAME ON IT.

this is just me though. a lot of people are not concerned with this (we are RPG MAKE community so no shit).
