I have conversations when I go to pick up my prescriptions because my dad is a doctor in a small town and in a town as small as mine being a doctor is like BEING A CELEBRITY (no really every time we go out to eat everyone is saying hi to him and people I've never met say hi to me because they know I'm his daughter, creepy).  So yeah, the people working there will talk to me (especially since one of the people at the one I go to went to the college I'm at).

But they don't do that with EVERYONE that walks in there, just me because of my family.  And they are incredibly friendly people, but most of the time no one is having a HUGE CHAT with everyone who comes in.  That is just not what happens.  Doesn't matter how friendly, you can't just talk to everyone and get prescriptions filled at the same time.

Also it's kind of hard to be nice to everyone that comes in when so many people--especially in my area--are just trying to get pills to sell using fake prescriptions.

what? I was in engineering (at NC State which is one of its only credentials), it didn't require you take calculus 1-3, I even started at calc 1 in college.

edit: I'm just not following this at all!
usually when you transfer from a CC they expect you to hop right into a majors program. Right now he's taking pre-college level math(college level courses start at precalc) and in order to enter an engineering program. If he's in intermediate algebra now, he's going to be in precalc 1 in winter quarter which throws off his whole sequence.

I would suggest taking summer classes to make up for the lost quarter spent taking remedial math and maybe fit differential equations in the summer before you transfer. Or you could do what I did and just spend an extra year at community college taking classes you know you'll need anyway at a lower price. There's really no hurry.

You Slytherin are all the same. If Dumbledore were still around you wouldn't be acting so irresponsible.

wait, quick on topic question: what's intermediate algebra? is that algebra II? or is that complex shit like abstract and linear? because I gotta tell you for someone who claims to be interested in engineering for the math, you're KIND OF in a low level one if it's algebra II and switching to engineering would be a bad idea because calc is a whole different and more difficult ballgame from basic algebra.

Like algebra II. I understand engineering is hard, and I never said I couldn't do higher up maths. I placed fairly well on the placement exam(and I took it before my senior year in HS), and I could of went into a higher math but I didn't want to.

Well, you're right, it does sound a little boring. I just don't know what to do at this point!

idk i am not very good at gettin my hands dirty and i dont want to boss poor people around. i am a little too abstract for engineering.
