heh. then im not seeing the problem here. if there is one thing we can all learn from casual anime fans, its that they possess an innocence much like a child. to them. the world of anime and all its curiousities are glorious.

can a servant speak at behest of a king? yes. it is something you see often in the world of anime. but much like son gohan succeeded his father goku in both power and wit, studios that produce animes can successfully create a tailored ending under the watchfull eye of the original mangaka.

I'd really recommend watching Gurren Lagann and Soul Eater. Soul Eater has amazing production values (fundings by Square-Enix).

oh yeah, i forgot to mention that. it clearly took some kind of inspiration from noir in the general HEH I MET A DAME..... sense, with the dark, brooding city and all. that was kind of an odd thing for japanese guys to do!

it was actually made more for a western audience than an otaku audience

the japanese guys decided to make something cool this time with the big o instead of something generic and stupid. i think part of it was that they decided to make something 99% of japan would hate.

All of those are random...I suggest you to start watching Lucky start, or at least bear with it, until chapter 7. There is a reason why this show was called Lucky shit once upon a time...Also all those anime don't follow a story per se, it's more like a daily life thing. Except for the third one, that's just random anime...

My favourite anime series is Iria: Zeram the Animation. I also love Star Ocean EX, BetterMan, Kinnikuman, Kinnikuman Nisei, and Melody of Oblivion.

Holy crap!!
Someone else knows about Kinnikuman other than me. Its a great series imo, but I must say I preferred...viewing the manga more than the anime, because it doesn't have all those stupid announcer interruptions, and I loved the artwork.

But yeah on topic, I can't suggest anything, I don't watch much anime.

Also I'm reccomending Kikaider(sp?). It's not dragged out like most shows, and one of the most engaging peices of drama I've ever seen in anime since Monster. Plus robots are awesome.
