If the artistic style is as important to you as it is to me, then google each of these since every one of them is pretty different (well i suppose anime can't be that different, but you know)

Berserk - the manga is way way way WAAAAY better, but the anime is decent and might get you hooked on the fantastic manga (premise: guy with huge-ass sword seeks revenge and fucks shit up 24/7)

Watch Naruto, and Bleach from beginning to end and you will be hooked.

I have tried to watch both and cannot seem to really get into them. I like some of the Naruto and Bleach characters, but the storyline is a bit bland for my tastes.
