World of Goo is out (and has been out). Simply put, you use different balls of goo to get to the end of the level. The game that started it all was Tower of Goo. Tower of Goo was basically an experiment created years ago by Kyle Gabler. It had no goals or anything, just goo that you could build into a giant tower. He started up an indie game studio called 2D Boy and began working on World of Goo. I played Tower of Goo years ago and was following the release of World of Goo for a while. World of Goo expands upon the initial engine of Tower of Goo by adding different types of goo, many different levels, different worlds (chapters), goals, high scores and all types of quirky humour and characters.

The game is now for PC and Wiiware. I bought it for PC yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Yeah, that sucks. I read it wouldn't be available over seas until next year :(

Man I suck at the Corporation thing. I try and pace myself and make each connection perfect, but I still mess up and it falls over. I'm thinking it might be because all the hundreds of goo balls roaming around is making the whole structure wiggle around. So I'm going to build some off to the left, then disconnect it from the main structure and stick all the goo balls onto that little bit so the main structure won't move at all.

no, i'm pretty sure the goo balls don't affect the structure's weight. what causes it to become heavy is when you make connections. those make it wobble on whatever side you put the connection on because it gets a little heavier than the other side until you balance it out. if you keep your structure symmetrical, that doesn't happen as much. however, thats really hard to do.

i just beat the game a little while ago, by the way. good ending :D that was a pretty awesome game. i still haven't gotten very high at building the tower of goo though, so i don't know what the mysterious "meta-game" at the top is that the sign painter is talking about.
semper games.

I like this game, I played it for a little bit and then got decimated on the ivory towers level (I think that's what it's called). I managed to get one of the fuckin' squirts in the tube and then my tower shortly fell over, so I was kinda annoyed considering how long it took me to get to that point; it seemed structurally sound, but I guess not. It also takes a bit to get used to the physics, but after that it's pretty straightforward and dependent on your imagination.

I'll give it another go when I finish a few other games I have enqueued.

No, Gish is a different person/team. Kyle Gabler  has actually released a bunch of fun games like Tower of Goo on experimentalgameplay. I played all those games, but didn't realize that he made them.

Grin Tree you could always skip the level and come back to it later. I've beaten every level in the game except one of the earlier ones, where you have to build a huge tower then let it fall over to form a bridge.

I got the PC demo, but I doubt I'll buy this. As fun as it is, I'm shit at puzzle games like this, so I'll never beat it anyway.

I downloaded the demo and had a LOT of fun with this. If I can find the money, I'll buy it for sure.
