I agree with Pink. Stiller, Sandler, Wilson are awful. Ferrell, I actually enjoy his insanity.

and Burn After Reading was the movie I enjoyed the most last year.

last film I saw was changeling

dude, this movie.  THIS MOVIE.  i have watched the trailer like five times and each time it just gets more and more ridiculous.  i cannot believe this is a movie.  there are so many ways in which it doesn't make sense!!  how is a fetus who died before developing a consciousness a vengeful ghost? it's just a fetus it does not have the capacity to think or feel yet!!  why would he harbor ill feelings towards his sister and not, idk, the situation?  why would he come back in the form of a ten year old boy of all things?  how does that make any sense?  he died as a fetus!  he should take the form of a pale, sunken-eyed fetus.  why is he dressed like he's a schoolboy from 1910?  how does that make any sense at all???  where is he getting powers from?  do all ghosts just have crazy powers?  how do fetuses even get to be ghosts??  also what could he possibly hope to gain from fucking over his sister??  nklsnfdwnk this movie man, i gotta see it.  i gotta see it.  also the part where the old dude is crawling backwards on all fours up the stairs is disgusting.

hahah yeah that struck me too "wait... one UNBORN TWIN is 10.... the other BORN twin is like 20...?"

either way i don't think its the plot that matters. i just liked those creepy things they showed. i like horror movies that aren't gorey but just have scary looking things in them lol. i think the only other horror movie that i liked (other than the classics) was 13 ghosts.

To celebrate how shit Twilight was, I decided to watch a different romance film about a vampire and human: Let The Right One In. Basically; watch this film. It has vampires, naked children with screwed up vaginas, a brilliant soundtrack and a great ending.

Dumb and Dumber & Jay and Silent Bob  :shady:
I still love Dumb and Dumber since last time I saw it. Jay & Silent Bob was worse than last time.

I'm going to be watching Righteous Kill in about twenty minutes, and it had better be way better than the crap I just finished with.

Ladies and gents, allow me to pass on a helpful movie tip: avoid Bangkok Dangerous. At least, avoid the new one. I've never seen the original, so I can't speak on its quality.

Bangkok Dangerous casts Nicolas Cage as Joe, a greasy haired hitman who gets sent to Bangkok to kill some people. There he hires a local boy to be his go-fer (and later bonds with said boy), he falls for a deaf pharmacy worker and some other stuff happened but I quit caring about five minutes after the movie started. The story development was slow and badly executed, Nicolas Cage displayed about as much personality as a brick, the action scenes were mediocre at best and the movie ending was so predictable that I had it figured out after ten minutes. The soundtrack wasn't half-bad and the atmosphere was nice (two thumbs up to the Pang brothers who actually filmed the movie in Thailand) but the pooly written script and sub-par acting killed the movie. I wouldn't even waste the time to download it.
Check it out! I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year!

I like how he explains the rules he lives his life by and 10mins later he has broken them all...

all of these new horrors are terrible, but all seem to have that one really creepy scene, and it's always in the trailer so you don't have to pay to see it!

unborn- old man crawling upside down
mirror- amy smart ripping her own jaw off
ring- dudes face does something horrible
grudge- various scary asian people
quarantine- girl gets dragged away
pulse- dude gets sucked into wall
one missed call- girl walks by w/ cut up face
etc...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail :) Can't go wrong there!

Also watched the "Star Wars Clone Wars Not TV Series Nor Second Film In The Series But Actually A CG Movie On Its Own".
you'd think they could come up with a better title than Star Wars The Clone Wars. It's getting confusing. Star Wars Attack of the Clones Star Wars The Clone Wars Star Wars The Clone Wars TV Series Star Wars KILL ME PLZ.

The action was good, though the plot was so flimbsy I often wondered about the reasoning for the action. As always, the Droid troopers win me over. I liked that the Clones are affected by the Jedi and develop individual personalities, though it goes a bit far. These are clones, and now they're just normal humans who happen to look the same, aside a few tattooes and haircuts.
If you're a fan of this new/old generation of Star Wars, this will hopefully be a treat. It's mostly centred around Anakin and his, get this, apprentice. He has to get used to being a teacher. Oh, and funny thing, the snarky little pink-skinned twerp holds her lightsaber behind her back. Remind you of anything? Starkiller from Force Unleashed maybe? It's too convienent. What else can I expect from the lair of Ewok man though...

Just got the Bourne Something Box and watched the Bourne Identity with a buddy. We decided that
it was a good movie, but thanks to you guys I've lately been analyzing stuff way too much so I kinda
got the whole plot after 30 minutes and ruined it for the friend as well >_<

Also, Matt Damon is like the worst guy ever to star in an action movie. He may be an ok actor, but man..
an overgrown midget can't play a fucking assassin. It just doesn't look right.

Man it really sucks that people can't seem to make good horror movies these days.  They all seem to have a very narrow view of what horror is and it usually boils down to LOTS OF GORE or just stupid and completely not scary shit like someone's head being upside down or some shit.  They all have the same exact atmosphere and nobody tries to change it up and make something actually creepy and unsettling (oh wait she chopped off his dick that's pretty unsettling right??)  The horror genre is a complete joke now which is a shame because a lot of my favorite movies are horror movies!  Well some of them are anyway.

I can't recall the last time a movie genuinely scared me, through and through. Some have been good for the occasional jump, others have been decent for the gore factor (I'm looking at you, Hostel) while others just seem completely stupid. The last movie that actually got to me was The Hills Have Eyes, and that was only because Autumn was three or four months old when we watched it so the screaming baby made me cringe. I've watched the movie since, and it didn't have nearly the same impact on me as it did the first time around.

I'm a huge fan of the B-grade cheese-fest horror flicks, usually those put out by independent studios. They are hillarious, and I find those types of movies more funny than actual comedies. Basically, if it looks like it was filmed with your mom's camcorder using actors from the local high school, I'll watch it (if only for the laugh factor).

Also, I have a sitter for the night tomorrow night which means it's MOVIE NIGHT. Which do I see? Grand Torino or The Day The Earth Stood Still? I can't decide.

EDIT: With more thought, I have to admit that both The Dark Knight and Death Race got to me. It wasn't the action or anything like that, it was the truck accidents. Holy hell, I can't deal with that shit.
