i really hate that michael cera jr. kid that stars in it but it really works in this movie. his character has this obsessive compulsive need to follow the rules hes made to survive and it really seemed to add to the movie.

Away We Go was really, really good. Basically, if you dig the trailer, I think you'll dig the movie.

Just watched Invention of Lying. It could have been better and the whole portion of the movie, like the last half, where it started talking about genetic matching and shit... It A) bored me because they were literally repeating themselves needlessly until they could pull off the Jesus joke and eventually church joke, and B) didn't make sense. There might be SOME people out there who believe in genetic matching, but this is a world that can't lie. Not a world of zombies who believe in genetic matching blah blah blah. It was even in their docturin of the 'church' marriage?
So is the message of this segment, "for a woman to date a fat guy, she has to lie to herself? Ifsofacto, people who can't lie can't date fat people?" That part of the movie just sucked.
Otherwise, it was a funny movie. They could have done more with it, but what the eventually ended with was fine. not as funny as Yes Man however, still suffering from the same romantic problems.

I always thought Zombieland was going to be one of those movies that you can enjoy but forget about once you leave the theatre. But all this praise has really made me consider watching it when it cones out over here. Surrogates was.. It was ok. Nothing great but not terrible either.

I know this topic isn't "What anime did you last watch?" but it's close enough. Recently I was watching Movie 6 of One piece which was fan-subbed by Kaizoku-fansubs and it is one of the best One piece movies out there. It's a lot darker than most other One piece movies which I found really interesting and kept me glued to the screen for the entire movie. This movie is fairly outdated right now, as One Piece movie 9 has already been released but it's still one of the best. Kaizoku-fansubs just finished subbing episode 258, so I'm gonna watch that next.

Film is an artform, whether or not specific films are art is debatable. Though not having seen Jennifer's Body, I suspect it has some redeeming artistic qualities but i'm not so sure.

Though film is a relatively new art form, it is the art of moving pictures. Also yeah, who did put me in charge of deciding what is what, film being an art form.. And who put video games as an art form, besides a bunch of nerds who know nothing about art in general sitting behind their computers holding their controllers wasting their lives away trying to justify the explosions they're experiencing as 'art'.
