When I've been looking through some topics, I've seen some names that just made me go 'Why?' and 'How?'... So now I ask, how did everyone here come up with their Usernames?

Personally, I got mine when I was on some music and games forum, someone showed me a picture of a Burnout Revenge guitar that you could win after I said how awesome the game was and it looked so sexy and I loved the game so much, I decided to rename myself after that guitar/game. Here's a picture of it from Kotaku:

It's a bizarre thing to name yourself after, I know, but hey... I like the name and I've pretty much stuck with it over the last two years, making variations depending on whether the name is available or not.
(I decided not to call myself 'Burnout' or else that would be a little plain obvious that it's a direct video game reference [plus, ][/plus,].)

Its a long story

I used to be Rushing Zephyr and I used that pretty much across all forums, e-mail, etc. I still kind of do, I guess. It's really hard to change your alias when you establish it so well.
It wasn't really based on anything. I didn't like my old old e-mail so I came up with Rushing Zephyr, which means something like a westardly wind. Idk... it's pretty unique, when you type Rushing Zephyr into google more than half of the results are my user id from different forums and websites.

Now I'm Mama Luigi which is based off YouTube Poops.

I was on YouTube, and I saw this guy who had the username baseball#####. (I actually forget how many numbers where in the name, or even how many numbers there were. Or if the name was capitalised or not.) I thought that was a pretty funny name so I went with this one, using my own numbers chosen at random.

but it's not a very exciting one!!!!  In the series The Chanur Saga by C.J. Cherryh, Dur Tahar is a pirate captain that...really isn't a huge character at all until her crew is p. important at the end.  But even still, I don't remember her being a very HUGE character, just one that did important things.  I don't know why but she always stuck in my memory.

edit: also by pirate captain i mean space pirates there is a big difference (i don't really like normal pirates)

My music name is Part 2 for most things I do and some of my mates turned that into PTizzle (because it's hip hop, yo!). It's more light-hearted than Part 2 so I usually use it for forums, plus it's fairly unique (not in the IZZLE sense, but in the sense that I don't have to worry about other people taking it because if anyone is going to do the izzle thing they most likely won't use the same letters).

I was an OG of pokemon and before the original game was even popular/ brought over to the US I downloaded and beat the half translated rom. KBJGXLM was my favorite attack... an attack which turned out to be the move PSYCHIC.

My parents always called me "The Nack" it just sorta stuck.
