What a fucking ass.  Raping women is so gross.  It makes me really angry.  I guess that excessive violence doesn't solve anything but I don't think the married couple deserves criminal charges.

What is his side of the story though?  I don't know it's always possible that they just beat him up for being a creep and made up a story.

Also about the bruises: It's pretty typical for swelling and bruising to not set in for like 12 hours or more from my experience.  So they guy's face probably looks that way because that is a mugshot taken that night.  If you saw him the next day or two days later he would probably look more like you expect.   I was beat up with a baseball bat once and my face wasn't swollen at all until the following day, where it was so swollen I couldn't even do basic stuff like open my mouth or eyes.

Breaking out of a neck grip is so easy any weakling can do it, you don't need a weapon in one of those situations.
