Does Edmonton count as "famous?" Probably not, but I guess that we're a big city, by Canadian standards (6th largest in the country). We have a page about us on Wikipedia.

sometimes, you need to quote yourself to feel important.

Wouldn't it be so fecking funny if we knew each other?  I really doubt it though. Which part of Cleveland do you live? You live near the steelyards?

I've gone there once when I was in elementary school. That was almost ten years ago. I really liked it. I'm sure everyone here would too. If you do decide to come to Cleveland, give it a visit. Maybe the Science Center too.

My rural, mercantile Swedish town has a wikipedia article in English. But I guess we're pretty famous in our country for having the largest ratio ever of natives to city folk wanderin' our streets in the summer - something around 6 to 1. Also, we're the hosts of a smaller tennis tournament that has more bang than buck. In a minor note, I work as the head of logistics at the tournament every summer. This information isn't on wikipedia yet!!

I think it's hilarious that the horrible wind is mentioned in that article actually.

I lived here all my life.
The founder of the church of the flying spaghetti monster resides here.
Carlos Mencia also owns a house up here and I believe his mother in law lives here as well.
Also, Our town exploded.

yeah, more so after 9/11

our population almost doubled when we took those people in off the flights that were diverted here.

Quote
The Gander airport played an important role in world aviation in the immediate hours following the September 11, 2001 attacks when all of North America's airspace was closed by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), and 39 transatlantic flights bound for the United States were ordered to land at the airport—more flights than any other Canadian airport other than Halifax International. (Vancouver International received the most passengers, at 8,500.) Over 6,600 passengers and airline crew members unexpectedly found themselves forced to stay in the Gander area for up to three days until airspace was reopened and flights resumed. Residents of Gander and surrounding communities volunteered to house, feed, and entertain the travellers in what became known as Operation Yellow Ribbon.
