Yeah I listen to metal. I like Slipknot, Metallica. I also like stuff like Dragonforce and Hammerfall. Disturbed are ok but some of their songs really annoy me for some reason.

If I listen to metal, I usually go for old-school bands like Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Master's Hammer, Tormentor, Bathory, then maybe on to possessed, entombed, old Kreator stuff. Or mixed stuff like AMEBIX (truly awesome band) or The Locust (FOKFOKFOKWOOA)

Or, if I'm not in the old-school mood, I usually go for bands such as Deathspell Omega, Darkthrone, Burzum, Behemoth, Fullmoon, Mayhem, Craft, Watain, Urfaust, Nile, Marduk, Arkha Sva, Nåstrond, Arckanum and so on.

But really metal is gay.

Mr. Nemo, Deathspell Omega are so good. Their albums are pretty frickin' awesome. I have Si Monvmentvm Reqvires Circvmspice in LP format and it sounds extremely different than the CD version.

Well, to my common knowledge, LP always sounds different. But is it more different than usual? Anyhow, I started listening to them about the same time they released SMRC and I've listened to the older and newer records aswell. Not only is their music good but they sure know aesthetics and have something to say with their lyrics, which is something of a must when it comes to black metal.

agreed LOL.

Slipknot is the radios version of heavy metal. Its lame and it makes me want to vomit

(most of there songs anyhow they have a couple that are OK). I use to listen to Hammerfall and Dragonforce but I now hate them because I and my music styles grew up.

It sounds different way more than usual to me. Not only does it have that "old" sound like all LPs but it just sounds way darker and more like if it was played in a frickin' cave. What do you guys think of MTV's Headbanger's Ball? I personally like their older episodes but I guess that's simply because I prefer metal that's a bit older. There's still some interesting stuff but meh... Anyways, here's a link to vote for their video of the year if you're interested.

I think headbangers ball is okay, but in my country it airs like 00:00-02:00 on sunday nights so I rarely watch it. Anyway, I went to the page and voted once for Amon Amarth - Twillight of the Thundergod and once for As I Lay Dying - The Sound Of Truth cuz those songs are sooo good!

Yeah, I've heard about extended artwork, so I will try to get my hands on an LP version some day.

Well, I'd say say DSOs lyrics are something in that direction, with a twist of theology lol. As long as the band are serious with what they express in their lyrics and aren't completely retarded, chances are I will enjoy their music. And aren't american, I'm sorry to say; I've never heard any good north-american black metal, and I've heard alot.

Negura Bunget I'm familiar with but not really crazy about.
