I was in Booty Bay trying to avoid this priest who kept killing anyone near the boat. Eventually I bolted for it as it was pulling away and managed to land on it.

Yeah, if you go into the Southshore inn in Old Hillsbrad you can see Highlord Mograine, Inquisitor Fairbanks, Arcanist Doan, Tyrion Fordring and possibly some others I forgot in a scene where the origins of the Ashbringer are revealed.

The whole Caverns of Time thing is going to be awesome... and Karazhan, and Outland, and everything else. It's really great when you can actually get immersed in a game that you've been playing for a year.

no offense man, but judging by the fact that you have about SIX level 10 characters, you in all honesty might NEVER get there.

I'm getting them all to 20 then focusing on one until they get to 70 then switch to the next etc etc

Unfortunately the lore doesn't really fit together well at all. You go into old hillsbrad and you see characters that are 40 years old in stratholme or something as 8 year olds running around and you think 'how cute'... and then remember that the lore says you're only 6 years in the past. oops.

It's kind of dissapointing really. I got sort of interested after doing a couple of the caverns of time instances so I spent like 30 minutes looking at lore on wowwiki and realized that none of it fits together at all.

The Dragonflight there is (in theory) corrupted by the Burning Legion, and that pretty much explains everything.

If Thrall doesn't continue on to his destiny, Azeroth would of been crushed by the Burning Legion

If you don't help Medivh open the Dark Portal, the orcs never come to Azeroth, which means the Alliance and Horde would never form, which means Kalimdor would never be found, which means night elves wouldn't of been discovered, which means when the Burning Legion would come to Azeroth it would be "lol Burning Legion vs night elves".

Also, I think the reasoning for you helping BfMJ is obvious.

But yeah the whole 7 year ago thing is screwy, but you could reasonablly assume that since the timeline is being screwed up when you go back, that things which shouldn't be there might be there. Or something.
