i heard theres a new battleground, and a new world pvp zone. just a rumor though.

or prolly like 10 new 5 mans with heroic modes and a whole set of raids to collect a different item that serves the same purpose as the one you have lots of now

in terms of content these situations aren't really comparable, especially since pvpers will still need to do the old content (ab, wsg, dear god not eots and av pleeease) if they want their new equipment. I don't imagine raiders will still have to do UBRS for tier 7.

i can guaruntee you that at least half the heroic boss fights will be copies of 25 man fights from tbc, just like heroic/5man fights were pulled from 40 mans.

also theres the whole naxxramas thing which is a 100% copy paste from the 40 man version

also also the pve boss in wintergrasp drops deadly gladiator gear so thats hardly sub arena gear

The last time I was following mmo champion there was a blizzard post that said "YEAH IT'LL BE STARTING OUT GEAR IN WINTERGRASP, NOT AS GOOD AS THE ARENA/BG GEAR BUT A GOOD START...." so that's what I was basing that on. That's pretty nice.

I'll grant you a lot of the pve content is SIMILAR (heh.. that's one of the reason i don't want to play it) but it's still NEW SHIT. You can't really compare naxx which very few people got to do at the time (not to mention you can now play it 10 man and all this shit) and, say, warsong gulch. Which is the same warsong gulch. It'll always be the same warsong gulch. Pve content is upgraded even if it's just new models on old strategies. We don't even get the new models.

as far as I can see you get blue quality savage gladiator gear from BGs
epic hateful gladiator gear from bgs/arena
and deadly gladiator gear ONLY from a 25 man raid when you own the keep in wintergrasp (the 10 version drops only pve gear..)

nah, theres 2 sets from arena now, a 1500-1800 set and a 1900-2200 set, i can't remember which is higher though, im pretty sure hateful is the 2k set, i think they just wanted to give pve'ers an alternative.

Nah deadly's the top end judging by the stats on wowhead. Also apparently assuming GREAT LUCK someone could get 3 pieces of deadly in ONE RUN of this thing.

You forgot the part where Wintergrasp awards about 5k Honor to the winners and about 500 Arena Points (Subject to change). Not countng the several daily quests located there, as well as about 7 additional PvP centric Dailies in Grizzly Hills.

So no, You're not forced to participate in the old BGs again, Honor and Arena points are easier to get then ever.

Oh and for the record Raiders are doing Naxx again for T7

And I'm pretty sure we'll still forced to participate in old BGs because we'll probably still need 60+ marks from each one or whatever it is. You're convincing nobody that raiders get less new content than pvp players sorry

the only reason they even have marks for each battleground is because they know everyone will spend all their time in one battleground because the others suck (honestly no one would ever queue eots ever again if they merged the marks).

As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

Honestly the new battleground is really fun but yeah how fucking hard is it to code a battleground? I would assume it would take HALF the time it takes to code a new dungeons since you're not scripting encounters and working on loot so why the fuck do we get one new battleground every two years?

depending on what they add in 3.0 and how much more honour shit costs at 80 people might still spend most of what they've got before wotlk. Like if BRACERS cost 50k honour somethin...... how much does shit cost TRUTH M8??
