I've tried both duel-wielding it and tanking with it and I would have to say that I actually like the weapon for both tanking and DPS. Not that I ever lose aggro anyway.
Just hanging around.

faster weapons are better for fury AND tanking.

faster=more hate, faster= more flurries

simple logic

no not exactly but ok

edit: To add more content to my post (I replied to that before I had to leave):

Faster does not equal more hate simply for the fact that the argument becomes flawed as soon as you compare something like Julie's Dagger to Timeworn Mace (I'm using two weapons that are around the same level). Yes, the dagger is faster but faster weapons are generally lower DPS/High end damage

You can go ahead and tank with a Dagger, attack every 0.5 seconds or whatever, but you'll only be hitting for really small numbers. Sure, you're hitting those numbers faster but as a tank, I'd rather prefer something that is balanced between both Speed and Damage (Quel is a good example of this). The Quel is a great sword in that sense that post-Flurry it's attacking at 1.5 or something speed (I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head) and it's still hitting PRETTY hard for what it is. Also, getting to the point of going really fast, global cooldowns and server lag generally hurt you. I know on Shadow moon if I tanked with my Eshkanders claw I wasnt always able to get Heroic Strikes off every 0.9 seconds or whatever just because of lag and such

But yah, the point still stands that taking Viskag over rogues is really really retarded and you're better off just using a Quel or Bloordlord's Defender but eh, it's your character, your guild, etc and I don't really care but as you can see a few people here had a good laugh about it!!!

Well, I've duel-wielded stuff before like an eshkander's right claw and stuff and when both that weapon and flurry proc.

Numbers fly everywhere. ( weapon speed was like .79 or something on the claw. That fast enough?)

Ya, Eshkanders was by far one of my favorite tanking weapons if I was specced Flurry. I used it over my Quel many many times (Primarly in MC/Lower instances, BWL got the Quel). It's just a really fun weapon to tank with because of the speed, and gnomes look hilarious using it

Supression room is easy if people just listen to what the raid leader is telling them. Your rogues just need to be on the supression devices, and everyone else needs to group up in the back corners of the coves.

Yeah, we did a Practice run on it, and it didn't seem too bad we wiped after a bad pull because the rogues (myself included) weren't out of the way for that flame aura, the other problem was the rogues were all going for the same trap but, just a test drive of it, we'll hopefully get it down next week

One thing we did to prevent rogues from going for the same trap is designate 3 of them on trap duty: one stays behind the raid, one with the raid, and one in front of the raid. That way at all times the 3 traps are down and there is minimal chance that the raid will get the aura.

took a month off from BWL to gear up in MC some more
I commend your guild's patience. Too many times a raid will continue with subpar gear when it's just a really lost cause.

I think the best part about that screen is seeing Muahaha in Magisters + Argent Dawn staff

Back then it was all about Int and stacking stats!

edit: CLIFF NOTE: Muahaha is like the best geared mage in pvp enabled right now
