You know for a while there was that idea that this was going to happen. Maybe with Penn, maybe with Oldman, Depp or Cage. The idea wasn't working out then.

Cue new idea which will probably go through.

I get how oldboy is appealing and what not but I thought the twist was dumb as fuck. I hope they change that a little bit because it seemed REALLY juvenile

Like, I don't even care about Will Smith. That's a bad choice, but the bigger problem as far as I'm concerned is Spielberg.

Oldboy was okay-at-best. Once you figure out the twist, the only things to look forward to are the couple of cool fights.

I think the twist worked best on Korean audiences.

Anyways I really hate to see this, but if they changed the plot to fit more with an American setting and without removing key elements from the original it might work.
