I am really struggling to comprehend this. You would rather they had it so the later tech units had no counter at all and were impossible to beat? Like whoever built the biggest, baddest unit first wins?
They took out a cheap tactic and now you have to actually play the game to win instead of some bullshit 2 minute wins which aren't fun for anyone. Also how can you say being able to select more units is a BAD feature? It's EASIER to do things if you're able to select more units, and it means you can do the same movements and attacks in 2 or 3 clicks instead of 20 clicks. There's practically no disadvantage at all about this unless you're playing against someone who would only ever use one group of units (like me) and consequently they're no longer as easy to steamroll.
No, because the later tech units would cost more and take longer to build. I meant it as in, instead of one unit that counteracts another unit, why not like, get powerful and more powerful units? I mean like SC1.
What's a cheap tactic? Now the zealots are the most powerful early units in the game. Not that they weren't in sc1 already, but at least you could kill them if you had range. And selecting more units is a positive and a negative. Because you have such a range on the amount of units you can select, it'll be just as easier to select units that you don't want to select, thus slowing you down.
