I already forgot the first two but I just wanted to answer the last one, since I don't think I've told this story before (maybe I have I really can't remember either way it's the worst)
So I worked at my dad's office (doctor's office, three doctors including my dad, pretty small) over the summer scanning patient documents since the office was trying to transition to electronic charts. I basically just scanned pieces of paper and entered relevant data about them. It was an incredibly boring, awful job. But, I liked everyone there. Well, almost everyone. You see, for the most part the staff at this office had been the same my whole life. Therefore, I knew all of them very well. If I were to ever get stuck at school and couldn't get a hold of my parents, I'd immediately try to get a hold of one of the women there to come get me (this only happened once when school got out in the middle of the day for snow and the reason I couldn't get my mom is because she was on her way already, the basic point is that I'm really close with these people). I had worked the two summers before filing and repairing charts, as well as doing odd jobs that the regular staff couldn't find time for. I expected this summer to be the same only with me scanning charts instead of filing them.
I was trained initially by one of the women I knew well, but after the first three or four days I was being watched by a woman who was only hired a few months before I got there that summer. Right away I could tell she was trouble but I kept quiet and did okay. After a while I realized that I was seeing less and less of her and I was doing more and more work. It turned out she was taking more and more smoke breaks and longer lunches--I was doing her work. Well, whatever, I was more concerned with it getting done than anything else, and she obviously wasn't doing it.
Later on, one of my friends came to work at this office doing the same job, because there were so many charts to be scanned. We had separate rooms across the hall. She told us to get together in one office and work on them together (one of us disassembling the charts, the other scanning them). Shortly afterwards the main boss comes down and tells us we aren't allowed to work together (I suppose because she thought we were CHATTING IT UP or something, we were working the entire time). I found out when I talked to her later that the woman in charge of us was the one that told on us.
See, the thing this woman didn't realize for about a week or two was that both of my parents worked there and one of them was one of the doctors. She didn't realize that these people had known me my whole life and trusted me entirely, and that when I explain the truth to them, they believe it. She had tried a few more times to get us in trouble before she found this out, but unfortunately nothing ever happened to her because of it. We spent the rest of the summer doing her work (although at this point the boss KNEW it was her work and that we were the ones doing it) and praying that she left early.
If you don't want to read any of that, this is the main part (although the setup is important). Trying to get a pair of honest kids fired when you're a grown woman who doesn't do shit is pretty bad anyway, but this is just fucking....disgusting.
Here are two important facts for this part: my aunt worked at a nearby hospital, and this shit woman's shit husband worked there with her. He couldn't stand my aunt because she actually WORKS whereas he wants to asshole off all day (doesn't really work at a hospital buddy).
Last year, the day after my birthday, my uncle died. He got pneumonia, and several of his organs had failed. He died on a ventilator. A day or two after the funeral, my aunt gets a call from someone who does nothing but make fucking gasping noises for a while then hangs up. She receives more than one of these calls. Obviously this completely devastates her, it's obvious that this person is doing it to spite her, and knows details about her husband's death and knows her phone number. Through this and a few other things I can't remember at the moment (it was very upsetting to me at the time too so I don't remember it well, my brother and I were one step away from finding their house and breaking their windows), it becomes obvious that this woman and her husband are behind the calls. Because it's so upsetting to my aunt, however, they never get reported.
I'm pretty sure both of them have lost their jobs since then, and I'm hoping the two of them never find jobs again. If I were to see that woman again, I'd take a fucking bat to her head, no question. I have never heard of someone doing something so shitty for no good reason.
edit: holy shit this is way longer than i thought
