Guys how do I sell items that are worth like 6k? I got a piece of gold from looting a town and I dunno where to sell it!

The expansion sounds very awesome!

I had this epic battle the other day. I was trying to siege this Vaegir castle, with only like 50 men (most of them vets though). While I'm waiting for the next day to come, KING YAROGLEK comes out of nowhere and attacks me with like 150 men. I was hopelessly outnumbered obviously but figured putting up some sort of fight was better than nothing. Best tactic I find is to form up your foot and archers, and then lead your cavalry around to strike the enemy in the flanks. It seems to drive them into a bit of confusion, and ties their archers up so you can then order your foot to charge them. I can beat enemy armies twice my size with this technique, provided they don't have too many horsemen or veteran troops. I employed this against Yaroglek, and we had a pretty EPIC BATTLE. I have my battle size changed to support 200 so pretty much everyone was on the field from the start. In the end, EVERYONE except me, a few of my knights, Yaroglek, and a few of HIS knights, were dead. My horse was dead. We ended up fighting a tense little battle on the summit of a hill, and in the end, Yaroglek cut down the last of my knights. it was just ME AND HIM and it was pretty cool, like BRAVEHEART or something. I actually lost in the end, Yaroglek had a horse and I didn't and we sparred for awhile but he caught me with a lucky blow and I went down.

This game is absolutely fantastic. I tweaked the game so my army can be huge without having to deal with morale, and epic 500 v 500 battles are just amazing.

Yeah you can destroy a faction. I downloaded this mod called Sword of Damocles that adds a sixth faction (some Roman Empire knockoff) that starts with just a shitload of armies. Basically they are "invading" Calradia. They started by warring with the Nords and had completely destroyed them after a few months.

swadian knights are disgusting but building them up takes a long time.

rhodoks has the best calvary but everything else is subpar.

nords have the best infantry

khergis khajit or whatever has the fastest troops and decent archers

Vageirs, and yeah, they seem to be pretty good with ranged.

Khergits definitely benefit from the fact that they have access to mounted troops right from the raw recruit level, which makes them ridiculously versatile and annoying to fight.

yeah they've got calvary at early level but their later level upgrades are sooooo underpowered.  nords are basically vikings and even the peasants can handle sea bandits but swadian knights are just broken.

wait a second is this thing single player? i thought this was an mmorpg this whole time. if this is single player it sounds fucking cool as hell. i cant believe i thought it was multiplayer. dammit i missed that steam sale, too. fuck.

yeah it's a single player game.  basically, think of it as sid meier's pirates minus the mini games plus a really good combat system.

there's some wonky moments, but i can't recall a 3rd person action game with combat that felt so... visceral.  when i ride by a footsoldier at 40mph on my horse and cut them in half with my two handed great sword it feels really really good (especially if you download the realistic sound pack which makes arrows whizzing by you sound AWWWWWWESOME).

there's a few mods recommended on 4chan that i forgot about; one focuses around you as a lord building up a fief and expanding your kingdom and another is a world war 2 total conversion with guns that actually work really well.

If this was an MMORPG, WoW would be in deep shit. An MMORPG that's fun; the genre isn't ready for that.

It has always made me so mad that no MMORPG could bother to make core gameplay that was legitimately engaging and fun.

There is some very interesting news in Mount & Blade. A multipayer expansion is going to come out. It will be battle only with up to 32 players(+bots) on a server.

I just wounder if there will be level and equipment or will everything be balanced.
