The fad I hate most has to be these white male suburban teen cocksuckers walking around with their pants down around their knees.  Buy a fucking belt.

dont you live with friends

yeah they are my best friends but it's generally a good idea to avoid discussion of comedy movies

we watched beverly hills ninja one night and afterward I said "I am actually angry that we watched that movie" and this was not something they could process

i find it hard to translate my standards into real life conversation, too. like, when i say i've got problems with judd apatow films even if they can be funny people assume it's cos i don't like all that swearing and sex talk. and apart from that it's just weird when i discover someone who i moments before thought was a savvy and witty person has the entire series boxset of friends. i generally just ignore it cos who wants to live like that? but it's weird having stuff i've been like puking all over pop up in real life where people haven't spent far too much time thinking about it

also, fads - who cares. i haven't even noticed fads since i left high school. i mean i guess some people have those haircuts, some people wear those clothes, some celebrities are really popular, some whatever is whatever and i don't care. i've spent way more time digesting internet society in the past couple of months than real life society though so maybe i'm just detatched. i don't get involved with people who are obviously up in some superficial stuff so it doesn't bother me.

Do you guys remember crocs?
I mean, I really don't have a reason for hating them except I associate them with fat ass people and they look really really really really reaally bad.
My GF wears pink Crocs and she's a hot stick :woop:

Not sure if this is a fad, but I just hate fucking Chuck Norris jokes. "wow he can do every impossible act in the world now lets tell all my friends all my hilarious jokes!"
Chuck Norris does not Blend.

Custom ring tones bother me too.
My ringtones are from ancient games nobody has ever heard of. I take pride knowing nobody knows but me

I hate Naruto. To me it seems like they are trying to give him lots of attention, but nobody cares, but somehow he's popular anyways. Maybe it'll pass like a fart.
I'm not as sick of Pokemon anymore, although enough is enough. It's like sports games - instead of simply making expansions and add-ons, an entirely new game is released, and barely anything is different than the previous one!

Spirituality and Healthy Eating. Maybe not where you live but in Vancouver everything 'organic' costs twice as much and people buy the dumbest shit and pay hundreds to attend readings and 1-day seminars. Now the big thing is to get your water 'Ionized' and geometric patterns and crystals to nullify loose radio waves affecting your hamonics. Don't even start me on the end of the world, which is comming in 2012 btw...

And fuck Violent Jay!

I have hated crocs since the first time I saw them. When I saw them on TV I laughed my ass off because they looked like the stupidest shit ever. Uggs were okay for a while but they are annoying to see nowadays. I am a major fad hater and I make fun of almost all TV ads that try to look cool.

I hate everything Pulits listed even though I haven't seen any vamps yet(first time I ever heard of vamps was on southpark). I hate pretty much all fads and I make it a priority to not be a stereotypical bastard. Gangster wannabes and Emo posers are the worst because most people can't pull it off and its really annoying. MySpace was also something I hated for a long time but strangely I am starting to accept it.

Don't hate me but some of friends say I look emo-ish probably because of my hair. I don't wear eye liner and I am not depressed all the time so don't call me emo!

The skinny jeans. I really can't stand it. I'm slowly getting used to it because everyone's fucking doing it, but ughhh, I just think it's so ugly. These dudes were wearing jeans 2X smaller most females.

*raises hand* i do. (wear skinny jeans, not the homosexual thing)

I don't think its cool to hate upon how people dress, or anything regarding the exterior. Sure we tend to meet idiots who dress in a certain way, but I think it makes more sense to only pass judgement upon a person once we've actually come to realise who they are. I think its more sensible to hate certain attitudes rather than making sweeping statements upon people simply for the way they dress.

god I know the feeling. Its amazing and also disappointing how uninteresting some people really are when you take a little time to get to know them lol

its like when I discovered that one of my suitemates's evenings revolve around what television shows are on, but I'm not talking about someone who has a pet obsession with a show on the food network or something, this guy religiously watches Everybody Loves Raymond, 2 and a Half Men, King of Queens etc. just absolute garbage. and he sits there and laughs his ass off at these shows. It is really an incredible thing to observe. I really want to know what his deal is and how someone would get to the point where they think this shit is hilarious.

You're gay. Those shows are pretty awesome...."Two and a half men" is, anyhow. I haven't seen the other two in a while.

I agree, they always seem to come back in some manner; things like Transformers, the NES (what was with that new one that was on sale a couple years ago?), this guy, etc.

I meant the 80's styles of dress just look funny now, did they look funny to the other group even during their day or did they make them want to punch that dude in the face (80s actually had dudes back then huh)

Edit: I like King of Queens dunno about the others

You're also gay. You could at least say why you think so.

i've never heard so many laugh tracks before in my life, seriously
This doesn't really mean that the show is bad, anyway.

if a show were composed entirely of laugh tracks i could see your point

however any show that needs laugh tracks to tell the audience when something is funny is probably not that great

having said that you have the average american sense of humor i guess since those shows continue to exist

good job being average and not iconoclastic like me

Do you seriously think that someone laughs at a part in a show BECAUSE of a laugh track? Unless you can't think for yourself, then you know when to laugh at something and when not to; i.e. when you think something is funny or not.

I haven't heard a Chuck Norris joke in about a year, I thought that shit was done with?

Although when I told my dumb fucking roommates that I hated Dodgeball they said "EVEN THE CHUCK NORRIS PART???"

Chuck Norris is like something that should've entertained some geeky friends in some random suburb in Michigan and then the next day even they would've forgotten the whole joke or what made it funny but thanks to the internet we can hear it to the end of eternity (or just the internet hopefully)

Edit: I think laugh tracks are there just because it feels better to laugh with someone even if they don't /make/ you laugh

like wouldn't it be weird to be the one guy laughing at a live comedy show
