This may seem like a stupid question, but will there be any compatibility issues if I buy a new monitor but have a really old video card? I know the video card might not be able to reach the max resolution of the monitor, but other than that, could there be any issues??

I am upgrading from a 17 inch CRT to a 22 inch LCD monitor.
This is the new monitor:

I'm almost 100% sure there will be no issues, and the real reason I am asking is just for confirmation. Don't think I'm an idiot that thinks his computer will blow up because he gets a new monitor.

There shouldn't really be any issues.

VGA is a universal standard so if the plug fits, it should work.
