my guiltiest pleasure

is probably 90s R&B, its cheesy as hell and i know that its often not very good musically but at the same time a part of me really enjoys it so fuck everyone, this is one of my favorite songs ever:

that is my jam!!!! i know every word off by heart and i always request the dj plays it when i go out haha IM KINDA BUZZED AND ITS ALL BECAUSE....... THIS IS HOW WE DO IT!

or this one:

what a classic, i have 5 ginuwine cds on my computer

fuck you i like it

I'm pretty sure I am alone on this one? I even like some new R&B but nothing beats the classics imo

I'm one of those guys who tries not to believe in guilty pleasures and believes you can justify music in some way beyond "its shit...but...I still like it!"

you can do this afura...summon your might.

I don't think he needs to justify it. there might be a precise reason why he likes it but I don't know how well that would justify anything.

I really don't like this shit but I guess that's assumed for pretty much everyone here. I know it gets a lot worse than this tho. ugh you know that SUICIDAL song? you girl you'll have me suicidal suicidal suicidal. I had to hear this every day at work I think it's one of the worst songs ever

no I mean the line between guilty pleasure and normal pleasure is that you'd feel some sense of social guilt for listening to one, and I think if it's decent enough music you can probably come up with a justification to nullify that guilt!

the other option is to pretend HEH I FEEL NO SHAME but come on we all do.

Are we supposed to share our "guiltiest pleasures" or just talk about yours?

this is mine, sort of.

I've got a couple Avril Lavigne songs on my mp3 player... I'm a little ashamed of that.

Since all I listen to is heavy metal, I guess Our Lady Peace. Anything from the 90's, though.

This is a song I like for a number of reasons, firstly its funny in particular because of the way the hook is phrased "im fuckin you tonight", most R&B songs shy away from forcefully telling the girl that you are fucking them no matter what, the justification for this is because of all the gifts and running around in circles the man has done. when r kelly tells you he's fucking you tonight you can know without a doubt that he is going to (he's a creep).

Plus notorious big had the best flow ever and i haven't ever heard a song by him thats unlistenable, even that pepsi commercial is dope, everything he made was fire as apposed to most rappers who have like 2 hot songs per cd.

Some say the x, make ya sex, spec-tacular, make me lick ya from ya neck to ya back and yah shiverin, tongue deliverin

impeccable flow

my guiltiest pleasure is joanna newsom who I have a love hate thing with. there's really not a great justification for that voice but then I'm not sure I'd care for it in another voice, unlike say Regina Spektor or one of the GOOFY BICHS who became popular that year.

older death cab (photo booth era, transatlanticism to an extent) is still pretty good musically and not the overproduced shit they're pushing out these days

and joanna newsom owns, you either hate her voice completely or like it because its quirky or whatever. and it really does fit somehow. regina spektor i hate though (except her recent appearance on a ben folds song which was good but maybe thats just because i love ben folds)

wow that's where the sample in Husikam Rave Dojo comes from

I thought it'd be something more obscure

well you have to remember my definition of guilty pleasure includes how well you can defend it, and thats...thats a pretty indefensible voice...

edit: without relying on shit like something jamicus said, "her voice sounds like its out of this world", which while true is pretty shaky.
