Ps1:

Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy IX
Lunar: Eternal Blue
Lunar: Silver Star Story
Chrono Cross

I've never played many PSP games, and I also haven't played many PS1 games; I think you will enjoy these, though.

Ps1:

Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII

Fixed

Wild arms 2 was great, but the final dungeon is pretty brutal.

Yea, it needs some grinding and uinlocking abilities, but thw whole experience is fun, there are lots to do anyway - sidequsets and the pyramid bosses, also unlocking Tim's and Marivel'sa bilities is fun as well..
WA2 just has a very very very good ending.

My Best friend had Legend of Legaia on PS1 I played it at his house and found it quite boring. I'm not gonna play chrono Cross till I finish Chrono Trigger but I'm close to the end anyway.Wild Arms 2 looks good but I wont play till I finish Alter Code F  (a remake of numer one). For some reason Ive never likd the Mana Games.Threads of Fate looks good I'll get the Eboot tommorow though when my DownLoad Limit starts again.
You dont need to finish chrono trigger to play cross. They're hardly direct sequels.

PS1 Emulators are rather nice little programs.

You can, actually. Dev hook is what I think the tool I use is called. Basically you can copy/ paste/ change memory cards on the psp. Just make a copy of your current memory card, transfer it to your pc, use an emulator like epsxe to load it and change disks, save the game,  transfer the updated memory card back to your psp, then start the game using an eboot of the next disk.

Switching disks doesn't work like this in all games, but it does for CC.

Anyway you can always play the game on a computer. You arent bound to your psp or something.

PC emus for PSX are good. Knowing the right plugins and settings for a given game makes sure of that. But you can't compare it to the PSP emu.... which is not only portable, but also damn near perfect (complicated disk swapping and game specific glitches keeping it from being pristine).

Well yeah, the PSP emu is developped by Sony, so there. They have all the knowledge/software/hardware needed to make it good.

Also yeah, he's not bound to his PSP, but I think the point is he wants games to be able to play anywhere. Otherwise, a PSP is utterly useless.

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
Monster Hunter Freedom 1-2 (HIGHLY recommended, people have clocked up more than 500 hours on these)
Puzzle Quest? (kind of an RPG, uses bejeweled to fight battles)
Brave Story - entertained me for a while, pretty standard jRPG

Also, whoever suggested Jade Cocoon is absolutely right. It's basically pokemon with fusing monsters and weird characters.

Edit: wait, your avatar is laharl, so you probably already knew about Disgaea...right?

Upon arriving the attending doctor could find no abnormal physical symptoms other than extremely dilated pupils. After spending several hours terrified that his body had been possessed by a demon, that his next door neighbor was a witch, and that his furniture was threatening him, Dr. Hofmann feared he had become completely insane.

I can't (won't) go through and see every game on here, but I'll go ahead and list some dope PSP games that I have (and that you haven't played)

Final Fantasy Tactics is always cool, the PSP version has an extra secret character or 2.

Dead Head Fred is a fun adventure/ platforming game.  I never finished it, but it wasn't because it was bad.  It's a fairly long game and I was probably distracted by something else.

MGS Portable Ops is always fun.  It takes a bit of getting used to the controls, but it's a fun addition to the MGS series.

Silent Hill Origins is one of my favorite PSP games.  it's got great graphics and if you follow the instructions at the start of the game to play it with headphones in the dark, it's seriously scarier than any console Silent Hill;  especially if you let yourself get into it.

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is a cool game with a few problems.  The weapons kinda suck and the game is relatively short.  I still played through it a few times though.

I want to mention Crisis Core, but you already played it.  Seriously though, Crisis Core pretty much kills it in every aspect.  A goddamn worthy prequel to FF7

Forgot to mention I used to have FF Tactics on PSP but clocked it (Got all secret characters and did all sidequest) :naughty: I'm getting Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops right now I didn't now their was a MGS on PSP I love the Metal Gear Series.
I own all the ratchet and clanks on ps2 except number 1 so I probably should get Size Matters.
