I'm not gonna vote in this, because I made music for two of the entries, and don't have time to play them all anyway, so it wouldn't be fair. but I'm going to watch eagerly to see who wins :D

good luck guys!

I voted for hima's DotPLUS.

Frankly, this was the only entry which was playable, and a damn good game.

The others looked like they were whipped in a week, and not two months. OK, except Gravity, but it was so confusing I gave up very fast.

I voted for Hima's Dot Plus. Out of the lot it was the most playable, and actually pretty addicting... I've always had a thing for adding random numbers together.

Both Carius and Psy-Wombat's entries were unplayable for me, due to horrible lag in the former and missing files in the latter. Farmrush's entry was okay, but it really just seemed like a slight variation of Missile Command. Anaryu's entry seemed to have potential, but I didn't care for the controls much and the character just moved too slowly.

I didn't even play Yummy Drumstick's entry, as there was no information on it and when I clicked the download link I was presented with 4 different files, and I wasn't sure which I was supposed to download or if I needed more than one file.

hey uh, the_nackster..... you are ridiculously generous with these contests and cash prizes but

if I were in your shoes I would set a minimum limit of games that must be submitted in order to give out 1st, 2nd, 3rd and runner-up prizes. 6 entries is pathetic and, unless you really think three or more of these games deserve cash prizes, I would hold off on giving out some of the lower prizes.

Of course, this IS your contest so do as you wish. I'm not trying to be a MEANIE, just saying maybe you'd want to rethink this a little bit and save those prize for another contest where more people actually submit????

edit: also, didn't Carius submit his Space Fish game for this?? unless it was for a different contest but it was tagged [contest]

Carius' game is the first in the poll.

Note to all who couldn't run Terra Nova: I've changed the installer to include the RTP, I forgot to do so with the last release. It should be playable now. Link to the newest version:

I would've liked to see more.

So... Are any of these actual RPGs? Seems weird. Anyway, unfortunately it looks unlikely there will be a WombatRPGs entry in the next contest... Making the custom systems is way too time consuming to be done year-round. Actually, Nackster, are you intending to hold a Jan-Feb contest? (Decided on a theme yet?)

The Muse! game is an RPG, the story hook is enticing.  As for your question about other RPGs, it looks like there are none.  I remember someone biatching about it in the contest thread saying to keep rpg maker games to a minimum.

Just for this comment, the contest is invalidated.

That's too bad. One might have turned out good, you know. And there'd be a better amount of submissions in general.

The exact same thing happened to me. I had no idea what the game was about, what I was supposed to do, or anything. (Which is why I wasn't sure about the RPG thing). In any case I was too busy fixing my own game's glitches to invest time in a mystery game.

Man.. I get the feeling that we only got a lot of entries last time because everybody thought that there wouldn't be enough, so pulled something together and submitted it last second only to find out everyone else did the same.

This time, everybody thought that everyone else would send in their entries at the last second, and therefore didn't make anything. So fewer entries ended up getting sent in.

I started my entry on the day the contest was announced, by the way. It's just, not a lot was created due to finals. (As in, I didn't jus throw stuff together in a week.)
