Oh, a rm2k3 battle screens. How exciting, I peed pants in glee. /sarcasm. Just the many who you shall meet, and what they want with Caroline. Yes, I realize the monster character look like huge giants, compared to the character, who gives a rat's butt!

He makes assumptions that you do not know him or do you? OMG TWIST. This is a dream or is this just fantasy?. STUCK IN A LANDSLIDE!!!!!!!!! NO ESCAPE FROM REALITY!!!!!!!!

Another mysterious person, a woman with a eye patch, more interesting tales of dreamwalker continues! WTF DO THEY WANT CAROLINE?. YOU SHALL SEE SOON ENOUGH, IN BEFORE I QUIT MAKING GAMES AND RESTARTING!, RINSE AND REPEAT!

You should use the shift key while laying down a bridge to get rid of that coast problem, and use the tile with the shadow at the bottom.

Here I've been cutting and pasting to get rid of the coast. Why did no one tell me about using shift before now? Thanks Corfaisus, that's actually very useful. I wondered how one might get around that.

i jacked up the fucking skin shader so that it doesn't draw jack shit in the warp, depth, or glow passes, so no action screenshots

@benos, that first monster thing in that first screen inspires. you got a lit bit of whitespace in that ss tho

It's a good thing I planned this out, because I honestly couldn't see myself pulling this off going off the top of my head. By throwing switches, or leaving them as they are, you control how the rails work, complete with graphic changes to show the available path. Overall, not a very difficult puzzle considering there's only 3 switches to choose from, but it's a start to larger, more difficult puzzles in the future. This dungeon makes frequent use of the illusion possible with the boat vehicle which allows the player to ride up and down the rails as they want via mine cart without leaving it up to a move event.

One should come prepared for battle, as the boss' lair lies just beyond this room.

Of course, there's much more to this dungeon than just this one room, but due to the size of it, I wouldn't bother with posting screen-shots of every room.

A lot of 3d games suddenly! I feel the kiss of death upon my withered 2d cheek.... They all look cool though.

I'm making another cardboard game whoa surprising. I'm working on an RPG too but I had to stop working on it for a while because my fingers were cramping from MSPaint pixel art and I was suddenly reminded that the whole point of cardboard games is not having to deal with fucking pixel art so this is a short recovery thing I guess *hobbles on crutches, has doomed romance with army nurse*

*twitch* I insisted on doing a couple custom panos for my game even though it's a first. I've decided to use Rm2k so I can use the creepy front-view monsters from Room R.  Here are some screen shots:

Title Screen

Our hero, Kris, wakes in a strange place.

Curiouser and curiouser...

your games have a really cool style to them that I don't think 3D games could capture.

and that isn't really a game yet as much as an attempt at seeing how a 3D game might work from a coding perspective. but i really like your cardboard games.

yeah I wish I was good at 3d but it's true 3d can't capture such a interesting and unique style. also it's been so long since I've seen rtp, you guys are making some pretty dandy use of it! :D

speaking of adventure games...

the second screen I'm probably going to fix up the background so it has more contrast because right now I think it's a bit too bright. I wish I could of made a trailer because this month I promised myself I would make one. I have plenty of content to do so now, but I lack the time! to make up for it, how about some music? like this and this. both are shop themes, one in the city of magles, and the other in Dimuru. practically this is a trailer, except with way more music and way less pictures.

progress was slow for a bit, but it's picked up a little. I'd say I'm almost 60% finished with Ultamate Caraty: The Unspoken.

Working on a parody-based game in RM2k3 to keep myself entertained this summer.

Can you guess which game I was going for here?  :welp:

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I'm not getting an EarthBound feel off of that.
