They really blend in with the background well.

those tables blend in with the floor a lot. Easy fix, extend the blue carpet by 1 more tile.

KW, art looks good but i pine for color. Sanosuke, I like the game- hunky hero reminds me of Ryu from the BOF series. Not sure about the boxclones- and instead of shrinking the sprites, extend the edges of the building so it goes beyond where you can see.

*looks again* OR whatever....

I haven't posted screenshots in a LONG time, but here's what I've been working on:

-A quick scene from the intro

Any tips/suggestions would be cool, thanks  :fogetcool:

Exactly

I post more and more enticing screen shots

And right when I'm going to switch over to the Unreal 3 engine and finish the game, I'm going to go bankrupt

I am liking that town a lot. The intro shot is too dark dude, and my laptop screen is very bright so just think about it.

At first I kind of agreed with Bandito, but then I remembered times I'd walked through the woods after sundown and barely been able to see anything in front of me. Keep it; the reduced visibility brings home to the player just how dark it is outside - well after dusk but well before dawn- and in a way levels the playing field, as the player can't see much more than the character could in that situation! I like it!

Is not that dark, is just that anything that takes me more than 5 seconds to notice is dark to me. I didn't notice there was 4 enemies in front of the hero at first.

NVM, Stedar- as my edit says, I like it- it shows just how dark it is outside, and it's kinda fun if neither the player nor the character can see as clearly as they'd like to- it kind of puts them in the same boat!

I say that the screenshot really is a nice brightness. Actually, the first things I saw were the four enemies. However, since people have been complaining about that my own game is really too dark, I can't say much.

I like the shadow of the bird on the beach btw. Nice touch.

I don't find it too dark at all and the whole point of darkness is like, DARKNESS, aka you can't see as well in the darkness, adding a certain atmosphere to it.
