Which King of Fighters character is that an edit of? :P

Angel from circa 2002, if I recall. But there's like tons of them along with numerous spinoffs, so I cannot put my finger into which version of her it is.

Hi guys, here's another mockup I made of something that isn't actually a game yet. I am literal scum.



Honestly though, in between all the time I spend doodling pretty bullshit, I am working on an actual engine. So far it has working map transitions (analagous to the rpgmaker teleport commands), a simple dialogue/cutscene engine, and basic movement. I haven't actually gotten around to laying graphics overtop of the collision objects though, so here's a videogame skeleton for y'all to barf at;

Skarik that's pretty much the awesomest thing I've seen in a long time.

I can't wait until it's done! :D

edit: Also since everyones posting screens or something I'll post some to.




The game isn't going very well, I've been stuck for awhile on it so I think I'll just restart everything and make it a lot shorter. Which means a lot of this stuff probably won't be in the game. I wanted to have like 3 sections to Dimuru, with about 5 shops total and around 10 houses you could go into, all of which wouldn't have a significant relation to the story. They would just be there so you can pop in and talk with people about different things at different parts of the game. I'm really having a hard time with the story so if anyone wants to suggest something completely random go ahead.

Skarik, that video vaguely reminds me of the section in the original Half Life where you came across these ferocious Xen Fish in that pool of water. I don't know why because the only resemblance is FPS + aquatic creature but either way it's stuck in my mind.

Strangely, I was playing Half Life yesterday, and my friend was asking me why was I screaming at the tiny leeches.

I've just edited those satellite receivers by adding my way of dithering, and personally I've missed putting up their minimal-capacity power cells (or even solar cells will do just fine). The gray doors will either be replaced by door similar to the containers themselves or I'll just have it dithered.

The idea of having container houses in my game were inspired by these, especially the one from Buenos Aires:

OK, the hero is a cow that was abducted by aliens and given intelligence and hands as well as I guess a head-mounted laser. When he attempted to escape his captors his ship crashed here on this planet- (Which may well be earth in the far future) and he's now hoping to evade his captors and get to a legendary mythic paradise where he'll be safe.  The disk-shaped thing is an alien robot who acts as his guide here. Good?

*Edit* No, on second glance the hero is a zebra-like alien who's looking for parts to repair his damaged ship or get to a point to rendezvous with the mothership so he can go home.

Once again, another part of the forest, filled with container house camps. They even had a 2-man public bathroom, yet it lacked water tanks outside.
EDIT: Only the satellite was edited, and the gray doors will be replaced soon.


The crash site, and it turned out that the unidentified crashed object brought out abnormal ecosystem, no wonder why there are plants alive inside the crater.
