The animation of Varsh in battle mode looks a little weird but I can't seem to out the finger where.

Just dropping by to say that my game has over 200 sprites per character, all made from scratch by myself. I'm no ARTIST or whatever, but at least i'm doing my own stuff that looks pretty decent.

Consequently, if there is some artist/spriter reading this who can help me improve these sprites, I gladly welcome your help.

that's weird, because that was a design choice by me, I thought it looked good. But it's no problem to shift it into the box, but I like it that way  :(

I am not talking about the sprite art, it's the animation, he looks a little stiff when he moves. Is like you need to use more frames in the animation to make it look more fluid.

Aten: Make the window a little taller and spread out the data vertically. It's impossible to read as-is because my eyes are like ARGH TEXT BLURRED TOGETHER. If you're using charsets... I dunno, use a smaller font? It is really annoying right now.

Also I am making a game playable entirely with a mouse, due to my perdicament (my keyboard is knocking my RAM out of place sometimes I guess and it's making my computer freeze? Something like that. Acer != good choice). I'm kind of sick of RM*, but shooter/tower defense/rpg/puzzle hybrid games made in GM? Now that's what I call awesome.

Actually craze Gutts's tect in his pics look clear to me too. I think you need glasses mah boy.

The actual text itself is fine.  The problem is there is no negative space to let your eyes rest.  I agree with Craze, you need to add negative space to the UI to make it look better.  To me, I don't see any purpose having such a huge character portrait serves other than just take up space that could be used to better layout the other data.

Yeah but is because mostly he wants to put so much data in a screen so small. I think Gutts needs to take out the portrait or make it a lot smaller now that I think about it in order to put the same amount of data and look not that blurred together.

Nice, my favourite's the third one. c: Some of them e.g. the graveyard seems to be kind of bland/empty, it might be better to shrink the space down a bit. Probably not as much of a problem in-game though.

A couple of videos; first is title screen + intro music video, second is a battle. My comp is too weak to handle playing and recording at the same time though, so the videos are kinda laggy. :x The battle one's audio and video are a bit displaced.

I use Hypercam2 for my video capturing stuff.

@Reives: I think your intro is pretty cinematic and pretty, but it also showed me you game will be like FF8 romance stuff. I don't know if your game will be like that or not, but please don't make your character say 'whatever' every five minutes.

As for Quintessence, while the cinematic is up to par, the game-play aspect is in need of much tuning. It's something I've been trying to catch up on recently but kind of struggling, heheh.

And as for the intro showing that it'll be like FF8 romance stuff - I can't really say since I haven't played FF games, sorry about that. I'm kind of surprised that such a short footage with no dialogues and merely showing generic sceneries would cause such a specific smell, though; something must've given off the stench. If it's not too much trouble, I might try to fix it or take it into consideration. Thanks!

@Reives: I played your game, it was alright I suppose. I just cant be made to like rmxp graphics for some reason... they just feel too square and icky to me.
