I think the two posters before me mean, respectively,

"I think the neck on the facegraphic is a bit too long."

and

"The font's a little hard to read. I suggest you pick something that's easier to the eye."

If they do mean that, I mirror their sentiments.

Acctually that's just smallFonts. The only deafulp pixel font on windows.... And, while on this PC, i can't download another. But don't worry.Also, thanks, i will change the mugshot a little.

Well my hard drive literally died and I had to get it replaced :sad: and the sad thing is my last backup was before I finished the menu, so I got to work on a new one and already I have problems but here it is thus far.

TFT: Are you the same person who posted those screenshots with RIDICULOUS-looking clown-monster portraits? Those were sweet.

I ask because the style seems to be fairly consistent with the portraits I'm seeing in those screenshots, which look awesome. I was referring to the portraits specifically in that sentence, but the screenshots themselves look awesome as well.

Are you talking about... the clown sisters?

Messing with the CmssgS concept.
I'm really liking the little border you have around your sprites, but I have to agree with the font being pretty hard to read.


Finished a Skill Tree for one character, I have very little knowledge of coding so I'm just eventing the damn thing.
Each color applies to a different type of skill.
Red are physical skills, Green are support/healing, Blue are Passive, and Purple (Not shown) will be magic.
Yellow ones are actually crafting recipes, which explains why those all have the same icon.

Been playing about with Construct recently and been making a platformer RPG engine in it. So far I've done the Leveling system, and a basic combat system, with 3 attack combos. Gonna brush up the combat system and try some simple AI for the enemy, I can only beat up on a lifeless dummy for so long.


Good shit, are you going to keep the RCR sprites? I love that whole game series with those guys.

Some progress on the game so far, the enemies now follow you and bounce of each other when they collide. Just trying to clean up combat, so that attacks deal 1 hit for each part of the combo (Previously if you attacked the right spot you could hit more than 1 hit with the first punch) and that it knock'sback correctly. Might try making the enemies come at you 1/2 at a time (Either saide of you if 2) to make combat slightly less hectic.

Also, redesigned the HUD, the AREA section is a maybe though, just got to think of somethng to put there if I decide to put it at the bottom instead. (Right now I get 10 character area names)

This is a mock up of the final CBS I’m making but some of it is coded (and by some I mean very little :sad:​) I just filled in the missing parts. also every single monster and boss will be fully animated (idle, status effects, multiple attacking animations ect) and when a monster dies it doesn’t disappear, instead it stays which will let other monsters revive them (And most undead monsters revive themselves after five turns if any other monsters are still alive).
I also got rid of Mana and replaced it with Energy, it works like this, Attacking cost 15 En, That characters En will increase by 15 points and will slowly deplete, once it reaches 0 that character can perform an action, monster also use En though you can’t see there’s.
I’m also planning for a combo system (known as stacking).

That looks pretty good Gongo. Good old refmaps days. By the way the font and numbers are pretty hard to see because of the colors you've chosen. You may one want it to be more easily readable. It's a good thing you've added an HP bar though which definitely helps.
