yeah the train doesn't match the chip at all, furthermore the perspective is way off, there is no transition between water and sky. Study mode7 to see how that can be done on a horizontal line to create a "vanishing point" I might also play with the train colors more if you are set on that sky.

@ Nackster: You made work on the train to make it less run-down? It looks somewhat darker. Although, I do like the idea of the scene.

@ Killer Wolf: I definitely like the faceset. It looks almost anime-like.How long did it took you to draw that?

Busterblade123 - I had the basic look planned out from when I made the sprite, and I made a template that I use as a jumping off point for the game's faces, so it came together pretty quickly. I did have to re-color/shade a couple of times to get it to look how I wanted.

Here's what the rest of the cast looks like so far.

Vagrancy - Be careful who you wake up in a twenty four hour parking lot.

His name was Not Johnny -  A young man becomes a sort of superhero after a crippling injury. He

i really like this look! a lot of these homemade RPGs seem to use anime-style faces, so it's good that (even if it wasn't intentional) you're differentiating your game from those.

oh, progress. never in my entire life did i think i'd get this far

@Pasty: Are the people in that screenshot lying down flat? If not, there's some perspective issues you need to work out.

@ Gongo: Loving it so far. Are you making a game out of that and have some content or doing some testing first?

@busterblade123 Both, I do plan to use this style but at the same time it is a test, lets hope it works.
@Rockman Thanks for the complament

Train Yard, still needs some work

Interor turned out well

Animated Title screen, the background is a placeholder

The menu works fine, now im working on the Alter menu (Its the skill system) and the Data menu (A log book)

The vaules are not done yet, but the glyphs are done.

I am not sure if there's something wrong with my screen or vision, but the first three screenshots are too dark, except for certain objects.

But I'm digging the menu system. Are you doing an Earthbound-style battle system as well?

btw, what is this made with?

EDIT: Top of the screen

Going for the New York style buildings - still needs those ladders/stairs

A cafe

Backstreets - needs the atmosphere to be made darker

(and lol, what Christophomicus said below was before I made the edit - so it's not referring to me)

Thanks SupremeWarrior. Where have you been lately? I'm been also looking forward to see some progress to your game for quite some time.

That's nice to know! I've been busy with university so I haven't had much time to work on the game! Hopefully I will continue to work on it during the summer holidays!

arggg hopefully this is the last time I change the style of my game... I can acheive more depth without outlines in the background, so I think I'll do that. plus it looks more like an older adventure game. Maybe I'll do a video of the game because I've actually never made a video of my games before...

@swordofkings that looks beautiful. Are you going to change the icons in the bar at the top?

Jesus, it seems like forever since I've posted here! I've still been working!

pepsi- thanks! :D perhaps they are, I got tired of looking at the old gui so I made a new one. I might cut out a few, there really isn't a reason why the load/save/quit/info on the game buttons can't be made into button and menu, but eh I like the spacing now.
