yeah man that's a dumb chart. pc games are not the same as console games at all. i kind of like video games but i play pc games approximately never and see about 10x more console games that i would play. 95% of pc games are shooters, mmos, rts, or gay pc rpgs. wow exciting!! at least consoles have more....eastern.....rpgs and platformers and other types of stuff. you don't have as much variety with pc games i don't think so i am always amused with the HEH PC GAMING > CONSOLE GAMING snobs who act as though they are even the same types of games most of the time. there should be an addendum to that "like video games??" added: like video games but not garbage pc games?? probably buy a console even though they mostly suck too. heh, a lil panda flava for ya.

also i have a 360. this is basically the only one i have an desire to own

What about anything that was released for PC in the 90s, especially the mid-90s?

The only consoles I have are a PSX and a PSP. I mainly got the PSP for emulation purposes. Thanks to that, and my PC with DOSBox, I don't think I'll be buying another console for a while. I probably seriously won't feel the need to until I've finished literally all interesting PSX and old PC games.

most of the pc games i am interested in playing are for consoles anyhow. i just want a powerful pc to play them with better graphics because for some of the games it really does make a difference (GTAIV) and i'm just gonna play them on the hdtv anyhow.

plus i can pirate pc games.

Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

Yeah I kind of feel the same way. I don't like playing games on my PC, so the PSP is great. There's an enormous backlog of PSX games I always wanted to play but never did, and with the PSP I finally can and it is like maaaan I do not really play video games so I am probably good for YEARS. This isn't even factoring in the SNES/GBA games I wanted to play but never did, and the PSP games that come out and are worth playing. I feel like I am SET as far as games go, and it saves a lot of money that I do not pay for any of them; I'm kind of glad I didn't give enough of a shit to play video games at all in my teenage years, as then I would not have all these old games to play and I would probably have to go out and buy DRAKE'S FORTUNE or some shit to get a fix.

I have a Wii and if I were to get another console it would be a 360. I just see a lot better games on it and I know a lot of people that already have them for online play (talking to xbox chicks).

i just bought a cheap 400$ pc from circuit city and then stuck a 250$ graphics card in it i'm playing farcry 2 at ultra settings 60fps FUCK YEAR

too bad far cry 2 sucks

i don't think i'll ever buy a video game. all i have is a computer (although my sister has a wii and i play that sometimes, it's dumb but at least you can play it with other people without using a LAN/the internet--if we still played gorillas or homm or worms or anything else that is turn-based maybe it would be.. better.. to be the way i am..) and i don't look forward to new games really at all. all my favorite games are pretty old or connected to half-life.

anyway most of my friends just have n64s really. one pair has a ps3 and a ps2, one friend's brother has a 360 but i don't think she has one, and everyone else has a wii and/or 360.

yeah i feel pretty confident saying that dom is 100% pissed 100% of the time, what an angry young man

yeah no it's not BETTER GRAPHICS but when i played it on my 360 it had such bad popin that i would crash into stuff that wasn't there until it was literally three feet in front of my car though no one else seemed to have this problem, sometimes this would happen with enemies too (they were more than FORTY FEET from me and so disappeared so i was being shot at by nothing visible??). the actual quality of textures/shaders whatever etc. were fine!! i would like the ability to turn off the ugly filters though that would be a huge plus for the pc (gta designers apparently think..nighttime rain means everything is in greyscale etc which i thought was really bad looking!!).

it also makes a difference in games like far cry/far cry 2 because on the pc versions you can actually hide in foliage whereas in the 360 one it can't render plant life dense enough to hide in so it's impossible.

i mean, other than that better graphics is a plus for sure but i don't have a pc nice enough to run any of the new games as is and i'm not really willing to shell out 1200 bucks at all for one. it's the kind of thing where i might buy a good computer just for nice graphics if i was making actual money like from a career, but i dunno if i will even still care about games at that point. 360 games look pretty good right now for the most part.

to beh onest i don't like games, that's why i play pc games, because the only games i have fun with most of the time are adventure games.

got the first two seasons of sam and max and played the shit out of them, a bunch of ags games, a bunch of old lucas arts games, BASS, and i'm set for a good long time.

fuck those fancy twitch games and 100 hour rpgs i don't have that kind of time.
