crush.  get crush.
Yes, definetely. Get CRUSH.

Also, Jeanne D'Arc is pretty good if you're in the mood for a tactical RPG without wanting to play FFT again.

So I got it today, with Tekken(the first tekken game I can say I actually like) and the two GTA games because I love GTA, but I can't really play them as ggay I am waiting for a memory card to arrive. When I get that I'm probubly going to get a few emulators/roms and see how things go from there. I'm checking out preowned shops for sw:battlefront renegade squadren because I have heard nothing but good things.
I would ask you guys about how the DW/SW games match up to their bigger brother counterparts, but I think I'm the only GW'er who plays them.
what kinda obscure/suprisingly good games are there on it?
DUDE I used to love Dynasty Warriors, I assure you they are exactly like the PS2 games I think one game is a port, but yeah there isn't much unlockable content in them though, I play Dynasty Warriors but I only have Dynasty Warriors 4.

EDIT: There is a LOT OF UNLOCKABLE CONTENT, dude it's just like PS2 Dynasty Warriors on the PSP, except now you can play Dynasty Warriors on the way to university. BTW Gang Ning owns... :fogetshh:

Is there any really good games for PSP that don't have a console or PC equivalent? I'm honestly asking I'm not trying to bash the PSP. I have one and I love it. but I have trouble finding psp games that fit into that category.

Kaworu, before you do any firmware updates go to your system information and tell me what version you have. Also, is it a fatty or a slim.

Lets see. Ouch.

Consult this guide to see what version of the slim you have.

Normally I wouldn't have to ask this, but the odds of you being able to hack it are so slim(not funny) that the only way to know for certain is if we found out what motherboard your slim uses.

Yeah, it seems he has the latest version of official firmware on his PSP Slim, so it could prove to be quite tricky.

EDIT: What do they mean by "Unhackable" does it mean that it could brick the PSP or that the custom firmware installation will fail?

"4.01 Official Firmware: Has a Very High Chance of being Unhackable."

give it a bit,
I remember when i first got my psp years ago it was version 1.5 firmware. Then after looking around for a week or two the memory card swap trick came out.

You could also probably pick up a swag of decent psp games second hand or bargain binned

yeah I'm getting a few preowned ones at the moment, it's no serious loss to me that I can't hack at the moment because some of the games, like GTA and shit have endless hours of fun for me.

Wait, did you check the unit identification numbers on the box? That's all that matters really. Do you have a TA-088v3 motherboard?

Dude, that says it's hackable, which means you have a chance at hacking it. :fogetbackflip:

EDIT: "There are old units, new units, & really new units. The old ones contain Motherboards released before the TA-088v3, and are all hackable. The new ones have TA-088v3 Motherboards, and are unhackable."
