a series of stories about being a woman performed usually by amateurs on a stage in the form of monologues. the vagina monologues are pretty famous all things considered, but not only do they have conflicting messages often (such as a story where an older woman molests a younger one and it's hard to tell if you're supposed to be respectful that she's not all fucked up or celebrate that at a young age she was taught her vagina was a beautiful thing) and depict male-female relationships as almost universally destructive (I mean keep the previous example in mind we're talking about child molestation being filtered into a positive), but as far as a heterosexual male perspective can go I found it pretty childish shit and think when someone always tells instead of shows in a play they aren't much of a writer.

i tried to read the vagina monologues once and the whole beginning (or at least the beginning of the part i was reading) was just them listing different words for vaginas
