Im looking for some good PC RPGs to play. Im currently playing through Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and i just played through Fallout 2 for the second time. I've heard great things about Planescape: Torment, considering picking that up. Anyway, suggest me some good PC RPGs please.

(PS: My PC is pretty terrible, the best it can play is TF2, so dont go suggesting really recent games)
EDIT:
Thought it might be worth adding what i have already.
Deus Ex
KotOR 1&2
Fallout 1,2&Tactics
Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Theres probably more, but i cant think of em at the moment.

PC SPECS:
Mobility Radeon 9000
512 mb ram
1.4 ghz Pentium M

MMORPG - WoW

But my favorite PC RPG is Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction.

Also, if you don't mind searching for them, Warcraft 3 and Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne has some great RPG maps and Frozen Throne comes with a bonus RPG Campaign while Warcraft 3 comes with a single map dungeon running RPG. The only thing I advice is to try and good a team with other players if you wont to take this route due to the fact most of the RPG maps/campaigns made for Warcraft 3 are difficult for one player to take on alone, although it is not impossible.

I'm mostly a blizzard guy so yeah.

Also, another good FREE MMORPG is Atlantica Online that has a battle system similar to the Final Fantasy series.

All depends what ya want, if you want to know about more MMORPGs I can tell you, I play a lot of those and find them enjoyable to a degree.

I don't think he was talking about MMORPGs. I believe he just wants normal RPGs.

Sacred if you liked Diablo? It's bad, but almost funny bad. Free on gametap - got sick of it in the first hour myself though.

Final Fantasy 7 and Breath of fire 4 are both official PC games, So you should play one of them. The PC version of FF7 has smoother graphics and shitter FMV's than the PSX version, and its system requirements are pretty low, it worked on my very old computer.

I was gonna recommend FF8 but that sucks.

I don't know why anybody didn't say this yet but

Knights of the Old Republic

mayb

if your pc was better I'd recommend Mass Effect too

Also, for what Massy said: there is the Oldblivion mod/patch/whatever, that makes the game look like shit but run on older PCs

One of my favourite things about Oblivion to be honest was how great it looked especially the magic.

Rune

Not sure whether it would be considered RPG or not, but it was one of the best old school games I ever played ( IMO BEFORE SOMEONE JUMPS ON THAT). Multiplayer was fun too riding animals and fighting and what not.

everybody complains about the character models because they're ugly just like real human beings (can't have ugly looking people in my vidya games, yo, every human is the Japanese ideal of feminine figure).  i still think oblivion looks great and the friggin 2gb hi-res patches and mods that change the way grass is rendered so you can see the hexes from further than 2 feet make it look even better.  my only beef is the generic bethesda EVERYONE HAS ICESKATES animation.

you suck sacred is better than diablo.  it's basically single player diablo with a world that isn't plain and boring.

the most stupid thing about oblivion is that you cant kill everyone.... they become "unconscious" just because there is a latter quest that needs to be done with them :/. hell even in morrowind you could kill EVERYONE. jeez.

they shouldve made a rogue quest (aside from dark brotherhood) where you become a murderer and are being chased.

the only thing that happens is either you go to jail or pay the bounty. you resist arrest and its a whole cycle over and over. you dont really get anything out of it. even breaking out of jail loses its fun :(

I beat the main quest and right now im just looking to cure vampirisim (which is stupid!)

if you like bad games with repetitive gameplay you should go for diablo 2. or diablo 1 just because it's ugly as hell. sacred also sucks and it has the added repetitive gameplay feature of fishing for shit, it's kind of like diablo and dungeon siege together looks-wise. also dungeon siege would fit in this category

bioware or bethesda if you like d&d games. neverwinter nights is in between diablo and icewind dale because it's got a bad story but it shows you some of the mechanics and you control two characters. elder scrolls aren't really d&d but they're somewhere in there, but most bioware games are.

have you ever heard of planescape:torment i see you have well it's quite a nice game also deus ex

i think i had more to say originally but then i forgot ooooooops

Yeahhhh alright, my main gripe with Oblivion was the shitty character models and animation, which I now know are a trademark of Bethesda! Some of the textures looked pretty suss, too... :hmm:

I'll go back and have a look at it in the next couple of weeks, I guess. I'm curious how much my opinion has changed.

There's always Arcanum of those not yet mentioned. And yes, Planescape Torment is damn good.
