i thgink i got 3.5 in both my general chem courses but it was just because it was full of dumb premed people who could care less about the subject so the curve was ridiculous

none of my classes were ever curved and my chem professors were twisted bastards who didn't allow anything more than a simple scientific calculator on any of the exams

that was at community college. When I got to university, I found out that the kids there got a curved grade and got to use graphing calculators and a note card on their tests  :argh:

hm dietcoke it wasnt curved but the scale was ridiculous i think 4.0 was an 80 percent and 3.5 above 74 percent and i think i barely made the cut for the 3.5

i've got one 2000 word essay to hand in by thursday and that's all. then in may i've got three 2 hour exams spread over a month. 2nd year looks just as light on coursework and exams. this degree is really easy.

you know whats the best thing about physsics. you get to work in trivial problems nobody cares about. like pendulums inside thin spherical shells or or a block sliding and hitting a harmonic oscillator

yo marmot what school do you go to i think we might go to the same one (university of michigan?)

anyway no one really cares but my comic is pretty much a Batman ripoff missing a lot of what makes Batman interesting and adding a bunch of crap. either way i hope to self-publish a trade-sized book before i leave college, but 12 fully done pages is a lot to do in 3 weeks.

also i plan on being a patent lawyer

why would you pay for a class where all you do is draw batman cartoons?

wouldn't it make more sense to just do that on your own time and learn something useful??

yeah, i really haven't used my major at all and keep falling back on my chemistry education when it comes to getting jobs. it sucks because if I'd have just majored in chemistry I could be making two to three times what I am now

:( it's getting to the point where I'm gonna either have to man up and go to grad school or work mediocre jobs until my wife finishes pharmacy school knock her up and be a stay-at-home-dad
